Minecraft has so far made 4 of my texture packs Irrelevant with the 1.20 update, what should I do with them?
I have 4 packs which the 1.20 update as make irrelevant. One of them is the most downloaded of my submissions.
From most to least significant
- Improved armor, replaced by armor trims: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/improved-armors-bedrock-tweaks/
- Pink birch leaves, replaced by Cherry blossoms: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/pink-birch-leaves-bedrock-tweaks/
- Jungle wood to bamboo wood, replaced by bamboo wood: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/bamboo-jungle-wood-bedrock-tweaks/
- Thin enchantment glint, just added to the game: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/thin-enchantment-glint-bedrock-tweaks/
What do I do with them?
I was thinking that with improved armor, I could make the trims add the existing shapes and make the models 3D. Otherwise, no Idea.

Keep them as they are for the versions they work with because often people will play on lower versions etc and having your packs available is a nice resource. Additionally, unique armor reskins are never a bad thing so updating your armor skins to 1.20 just gives people more options to choose from which is never a bad thing!
Their for bedrock, so that doesn't really apply in this case, but thanks.
I think you should keep the jungle wood and armor one; the armor is still different from the armor trims and the wood is way different from the minecraft wood. Or just make mc bamboo wood your jungle wood.
I was thinking of updating the armor to have fancier armor trims, So all the updates the pack currently has will be available to all armor sets, instead of unique to one.
That sounds great! (To be honest Vanilla Armor Trims kind of look boring)
It means you are working on the right track.
Hello,
You can try updating your texture packs to make them compatible with the 1.20 update. Alternatively, you can keep the old versions of the texture packs for use in earlier versions of Minecraft.

They are for bedrock, so they will continue to work for any version of bedrock, thanks tho.
idk just leave them there as they are lol
future players may look at these packs and think to themselves: "wow pre 1.20 minecraft must’ve been torture"
