Cultural dfference? I just want to confirm it.
In today's English class, my English teacher told us that in the USA, people receive notifications through email.
But in China, teachers usually text notification by QQ and WeChat. For our teachers, they use QQ. As for my parents, their bosses use WeChat.
If you don't know what is QQ and WeChat, you can understand it as WhatsApp and FaceBook Messenger.
For me, I rarely use email, even though I have 2 email addresses.
I only have one QQ account, and my teachers and friends send messages to me via it.
Even I don’t know why we do not use email, but I’m sure that the people around me don‘t use email either.
Many years ago, my teachers had already told me that foreigners tend to use email. Now that I have joined in PMC, I would like to confirm it, it has been bothering me for many years, does your teachers or bosses send notifications via email?

from the uk and we use email
I'm not from the USA.
My teachers use an online school system (idk how to call it, we get timetables and grades online), MS Teams or sometimes Messenger.
We have school emails, but nobody uses them for messages.

We don't have school email, but if we have QQ accounts, we will have QQ emails.
Yes, but usually it's a school email you're given before your enrollment begins. At least for college. Idk about grade school nowadays.

For the most part, yes.
It really depends on the person who is trying to contact you and what they prefer. Email is pretty common, but some people like other forms of contacting. However, in everyday life, hardly anyone uses email. Texting is extremely popular.
In China, we seldom use email, usually, we use it only when we need to verify email address after registering a new account. From daily life to government work, we're accustomed to using WeChat and QQ.
We also use these things known as mouths. We open and close it and sound magically comes out of it, allowing us to communicate. lol 😄
In the past, yes. Not so much anymore. I wouldn't know for certain as I have been done with school for a long time. For business, we use a combination of email and text messaging and apps. The older generations tend to use email more than messging apps.
I can confirm this... (c:
Thanks, I know it. XD
