About our server
The Badlands is a legit Survival server. If you are in a town, you are safe. You can build anything you want and rest easy knowing nobody will kill you, steal your stuff, or cause you any harm. If you decide to venture out into the Badlands and away from the safety of the towns, however, there's no telling what could happen! In then Badlands it's perfectly acceptable to kill, steal, raid unlocked houses or chests, and pretty much anything else. The only thing we don't allow in the Badlands is outright "griefing" or random destruction. Since we are set up this way, those players seeking a more 'civilized' server can stay in town and those who want anarchy and chaos can stick to the Badlands and play hardcore survival.

LWC which allows you to purchase locks for chests and doors
mcMMO for leveling up skills and abilities!
OtherDrops Drops on this server are completely overhauled. All mobs drop some money, and nearly all have a "special" rare drop. You can get all kinds of unexpected rewards from killing mobs such as sticky pistons, chainmail, etc. You can also farm blocks that can't normally be obtained if you use gold tools, such as grass, ice blocks, and glowstone blocks.
YES, This is "One of those servers that makes you sign up." It only takes 2 seconds. If you're going to log on and complain about having to do so, save us both the effort and go find some mediocre server to play on instead.

Agreed. I think there have been fewer on lately because so many are playing the 1.9 prereleases. As soon as there's a reasonably working bukkit dev build for 1.9 we will be running it!
The only thing this server needs is more players. It rocks!
Up and running on 1.8 with our full compliment of Bukkit plugins and a brand new map! All that exists now is the spawn area, the rest is up to you.

We use iConomy for money.
We use LocalShops for shops. Players can create their own shop and it is running 24/7 even if they aren't on. you have to physically be standing in a shop to buy from it or sell to it, but once you're inside it there's commands to use it even if the owner is offline.
We have a pawn shop near spawn that buys almost everything so you can make money easily just by gathering items.
We have Towny which lets players join or create powerful towns and nations.
We have optional PVP.
We have some random stuff like /hat that lets you put blocks on your head.
There's all kinds of cool stuff on this server.

We just created our pixel art museum... it's filling up pretty quickly, but there's still some space left for new displays!
i'v been playing on this server for some time now and i have to say... its really great. no lag, great features. friendly comunity, check it out! =p
The new Castle Warfare project GiovanniZeko is developing is gonna be tons of fun. He's basically creating a new mini game where two sides try to capture one anothers' castles. Sounds awesome so far.

Just constructed a shopping mall. Server's going stronger than ever! Community's growing, too!
Recently constructed a Spleef arena! We have had to raise server capacity from 30 to 40 because we were hitting the cap when it was 30. Server is performing wonderfully and I have heard no complaints at all about lag or performance issues.
