Meanwhile servers that are entirely based on Vanilla can be made with the new possibilities with redstone in 1.8.
Some people replace plugins with redstone meanwhile and create vanilla servers with pretty high quality actually.
So here's the question: Do you think that Minecraft Vanilla Servers make sense?
Are they concurrence for Bukkit servers? Can you do a lot with them?

Vanilla for a public server, never. Vanilla for a private/whitelisted server, fair enough.
