Help Needed! | Experienced Redstone Person!

So I'm trying to make a subway and I have an issue with an automatic system, I have most of it down but I'm trying to make one station where the cart goes, to trigger another part where the carts are received. I basically need a redstone torch thats turned off, to turn on when a button is pressed. If you know anything about how to do this then please tell me

when you turn on a redstone torch thats lit, it turns off. simple.

Brief Description of your experience with redstone: I can wire entire buildings, all to seperate switches or the same switch. I think I can easily fix your problem.
