About half an hour ago, I found a sprawling system of caves, ravines, and mine shafts in a creative world. This room was at the bottom of a very long tunnel:
The room has beveled edges, almost as if it were the inside of a flattened sphere. The hole in the upper corner of the second image is the way I came in, and aside from that everything is even and symmetrical (save for variations in the actual blocks, like the diamond and iron ores).
So what do you guys think? Maybe it's some strange anomaly in the coding for stronghold generation. Maybe it's just an unusual natural cavern. Or... could it be the work of HIM?

I find those often, they are in the spawning code
i found one of those last night with a waist high water level with coal and redstone on the floor, it's nothing unusual my friend
its just a random room when i find one as deep (near diamonds and that) i make it my home.
i saw them once actually but its probably just a code generation thing

I saw a room like this. There was iron in the ground, and I got excited. I mined away the iron, not digging directly down. Lucky me. There was a dungeon underneath.

I saw this kinda room before being open to the surface.
It was sometime after I heard about herobrine which was a long time ago *But it was in 2011 :3* sometime like before last summer maybe and then since i was kinda scared about it at the time the room scared me thinking it was herobrine O_o
but hes not scary anymore *of course since its been that long :3* but if I see him in singleplayer for real then maybe.But maybe not since I tried the mod once.

I think it is just a coincidence caused by the coding for map creation.
When I found these, it was something like:
"LOOK AT DIS PERFECT ROOM. Hmm..What to mak-OHHHHHHH COAL. -Runs off into cavern to die-"

They could be part of the new generation code that Notch put in. Maybe they will be a new type of dungeon or something.
every now and again I find a cool room like that and I think: I NEED TO BUILD SOMETHING HERE. Then I get lost in the catacombs and I never find it again.
its actually pretty common in my case, but when ever i go in a cave that looks like that, i think, you creeper ************ and u ***** and so on
Its just a Cave without very many stray blocks.
