I would probably get a bunch of cats all around my house to keep the creepers away, build a large wall around so my house is in a castle, and light the whole area up.

I'd probably make an obsidian house with an iron door so no creepers can blow it up, and they can't even get in

I would make a town like megaton from fallout 3 (with tnt, not a nuke) and incase poop hits the fan, a self destruct button

A fortress with an obsidian outer-layer, and a glowstone interior. Not to mention that I would build a moat that has nothing in it, and instead mobs drop down, die from fall damage, and their drops are fed into hoppers that bring them into a collection room in the basement of the fortress. I might also throw in a few pet cat sentries outside to ward creepers away, in general.

The easiest one: light up my house. No, but seriously, I would likely build a house as high as I could, bringing seeds, potatoes, saplings, eggs, and at least ten obsidian. I would, of course, also bring some Iron Ore. Later, I would return to the surface, and grab a few diamonds.

Cats and water.

Probably try to dig underground, make an underground house with trees and wheat, then block off the entrance to the top so creepers can't get in.
