No it would be up to the creator of the game to make you pay for it not Valve.

Mmmmmm, probably not. There may be DLC, but on steam, player-created mods are usually free (Like for Skyrim and Garrysmod)

Nothing would change, you could just download the game through steam instead of minecraft. net and it would show up in your game library. Possibly achievements would be changed but that's it.

tetJeb said at Dreamhack that it would be difficult for them to add it to Steam since you have a separate logon for each. Plus, as previously mentioned, Steam gets a cut of what's sold. However, I think it would be pretty simple to do it. You can manually add the game to your Steam library and launch it from there. It really shouldn't be any different if Mojang put it on Steam themselves.

Also...
re-code it with a different coding language

That's never going to happen. Even if Java is terrible.

Java is not terrible... would u be able to make a coding language like java?

I'd be up for it, I can't see many reasons why not, except maybe Mojang's pay cheque

I think resource packs, maps, mods, etc. would all be nicely sorted in the Steam Workshop and easy to install.

SurvivalQuest+Guns
+Updates
+Minecraft Locked Chest Key
+More guns
-Bow
-Mobs
+Team Deathmatch
+Cell Shaded Graphics
-Texture Packs
-Mods

Where are you getting your examples? Lots of Steam Games have mods built in.

Steam = Game Library.

That is all. They have no control over how the game works.

I would not support it, because Steam would limit Minecraft updates in some way. Don't ask for an example, because I don't have one. It should stay the good and happy way it is.

It could still happen, but its very unlikely. I heard on that Jeb was considering it. It would be cool though. It would probably have steam achievements instead of the regular achievement setup. Maybe it would have a different multiplayer too.

Nothing? Wouldn't it be all still coded by by mojang? but just on the steam.

EDIT
But, The mods will be running on the steam community, and it will be much much much simple to install and find mods. also achievements.

Not only would achievements be easier to keep track of, but mods would also be easier to locate and add to the game, thanks to the Steam Workshop. In addition, having the Steam Overlay would be a quick and handy way of checking sites like PMC or the Minecraft wiki in the middle of a game, without having to switch tabs constantly.

IT wouldn't change, except maybe a Steam workshop would be nice... But other than that, NOTHING. And if you can already add it to your library.

If they added some performance-thing to it, or re-code it with a different coding language. Lag depends on your computer, anyway.

Before we worry about the machine you need to learn that time doesn't quite work like that. you see from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff.

WELL,I can tell you right now that that is complete and utter bullshit As for one thing, Steam, doesn't change the games, they just allow them to be ran. Because if that was the case, Then Terraria would be a HD 1st-person shooter.
