Hardcore, Earth Servers, OneBlock seem to be doing pretty well right now.



Minigames will always do well if executed correctly.



Some other things that you could look for are....

✅ Solid Mature Staff Team

✅ A Network with a variety of servers (Do this when you can - Def. is not needed right away)

✅ Things players can participate in and do so they don't get bored

✅ Trys to not copy other servers too much.

✅ Active owner who engages with there players.

I'd like a mod that adds more combat options and brutality. I've seen a great mod that adds monsters (for example sandworm from Dune)

I'm not sure cause I only do PvP.

Well I expect a server will be child safe, and admins on there the entire time, monitoring the chat. I look for servers that are like this, if it is not possible to have admins on the server, then an anti-cheat mod would be sufficient. Minigames are a big part of Minecraft servers, so I would recommend putting them in to the game. I think the PvP, PvE and Survival game modes are doing the best, illustrated by the fact that many people (myself inculded) have a good time playing survival with people they may not neccesarily know in real life
