my brother was an avid minecraft player and so he, of course, downloaded it on our computer
I found Minecraft.net in the early 2011s and watched the trailer which sparked my curiosity to play this game.
got a disc with 1.7.9 and downloaded youtube vids (Also i had modpacks on 1.5.2 and 1.4.2, but without any bonus material)
I watched a lot of vids of it as a kid and then bought the java edition when my mom bought me a paysafecard gift card.
was bored and bought it on my switch, then switched to java again bc nintendo is bedrock so yk
From what I remember, I saw it in YouTube around 2014, and asked my mother to buy it for my Xbox 360.
I was watching a minecraft series by the pals and I was so interested in it that I had to get it for myself. I got my uncle to get it on my grandmas ipad until I got my own. a few years later I wanted to try out mods so I got Java. Too bad I got a really bad reputation in the servers, so I’m basically gonna get a new Java account in the coming weeks lol
my mom got it for me and my brother on her tablet in 2012-2014
In 2020 I saved up for it and bought Java edition.
Just found it and stated playing since it came out!
During christmas(2008-2009) i went over to my uncles house. My cousins friend seen that i was bored and opened up Minecraft on his laptop and let me play(it was before minecraft had multiplayer). after that, i was all about minecraft and have played it ever sense.
I went to my cousin's house and played it.
Really enjoyed it.
So I did extra work around the house and bought it.

Found it on my grandfather’s pc
Found the browser version, and later convinced my dad to buy it for me, arguing that I would be playing this game for a very long time (and I'm still here, 12 years later :'D )
Several of the family youngsters were wanting the game and I had a copy of the PC Mag demo around so I started playing with the idea of confirming it was acceptable content, then got the java version at the same time as the youngsters.
