Just a friendly reminder to back up your world saves today. The new update will become available later today and with that Mojang promises a new save system. While the Mojang team has been releasing pretty solid updates as of late, plenty could go wrong as old saves will be converted to the new format. Don't wanna start a panic as I'm sure they wouldn't release this system unless they pretty much had it debugged and functional but, just in case you know

just got it, works for me! Saves converted fine. Kac you on on OSX 10.5 or 10.6?

It's already here, just re-download Minecraft, but be warned, it doesn't work... for anyone...
