MAJOR BUG FOUND IN MINECRAFT 1.0.0
Yeah, its 1.0.0, the newest version, and also the worst. I play alot on Creative mode and decided to start on Survival. So i created a map, and i decided to build a house. But i spawned in swamp, i went around, hoping i could find a normal patch of land. but no, I couldnt find it. I created about 15-20 new survival maps, but always spawning in swamp, ive been flying around SPC and it turns out ALL of the land is swamp, how do i fix this? it wasnt like this before in Minecraft 1.8.1

i think its because of new java update 6.30?
I would try opening MC, before you login, hit options, hit Force Update. login now. Once its done create a new world and try again. (existing worlds will be the same, so make a new one)
Also if you have any mods this will delete them, and deleting ur .minecraft removes your saves.

or, test some popular seeds to see if it's correct first. try the "lost" map, you should spawn on a mushroom island. with swamp everywhere
Delete your .minecraft, Reinstall Minecraft, BTW fly very far, Notch made the biomes bigger..
