Ya know... I really need to go through the source code and look for anything "Herobrine" in it... I've been putting it off but, there is SOMETHING not necessarily Herobrine behind some of these weird "Encounters"... it could be a mastermind hacker, or a inputted code... however I go with hacker on this one... but something must let him in...

Yes, he is real, today I was mining, and he appeared, then my computer turned off by itself, and my computer didn't turn on anymore, so the herobrine appeared in front of me and killed me.

herobrine is real. I saw him with my own eyes.. i was digging around minding my own business in a cave when i heard footsteps behind me. MIND YOU this was on SINGLEPLAYER. I was like huh that was weird and kept on digging. I was mining so much gold and diamonds that i did not care. Then i heard the footsteps again only louder this time. still did not think much of it i am not the superstitious type i just thought maybe it was some ZOMBIE. next I am by a pool of lava and I am mining iron on the side of the cave when I hear the sound of items falling into the lava... like item burning sound. I dig my way around the pool of lava closer to the sound when I saw HEROBRINE for real WHITE EYES GLOWING he stared at me. I RUN. HE RUN TOO. I SHUT MY LAPTOP...
next time I boot up MC the title screen is RED and I open my world and all the ores in the cave are gone.... everything returned to normal after that... have not seen him since

I've seen him too. I was playing in a singleplayer survival world, I saw him in the distance inside the fog. after that I didn't play on that world ever again. I'm very sad that that happened, I had some very cool creations in that world.

No, hate to ruin kid's dreams here and now, but he never really existed and most videos that have been on the internet have 93% of the time they have been disproven. Herobrine... is a creepypasta at the end of it all which is a folk tale but on the internet.
But the impact of Herobrine was more than real, those hundreds of videos I mentioned earlier have millions upon millions of views and constantly spreading awareness to Minecraft and one of the main reasons to why it became such a giant on the internet as is today.

To be fair... Notch does have a half brother he's never met but that's about it.
As for Redstone-torches, some do generate but they're more commonly to spawn in a structure like an Igloo's or Woodland Mansion's but I've seen one just spawn out of nowhere.

Either modded or lies; herobrine is nothing more then a creepypasta unfortunately, Notch himself has confirmed it. I do have a mod that adds him, but he's not actually real.
