Can the Witch be Considered a Type of Illager?
I know the Witch is not an Illager, but could it be like a subsection or type of Illager? Illagers and Pillagers are evil forms of the Villagers, which in theory a Witch is like the OG Illager because it was the original evil version of the Villager, right? I`m curious to see what everyone thinks.

I'm not sure if I'm going to like the introduction of the new illagers when they come into the official game from snapshot.
they've got this thing called the illager beast which will be capable of demolishing crops. And if we can't prevent the illager beast from reaching our own crops by fencing, iron bars or stone walls etc, I'm going to be making a thread about it and doing a critique about said changes.
At least with things like the wither boss you have a choice in, they don't spawn unless you use wither skulls and soul sand to make them and you can pick where in the world to spawn them. Witches spawn automatically, but they're manageable and there are places they can't reach if you're good with iron doors or gates, so they're not OP.
The illager beast, if I am not mistaken will be a part of illager raids and will be almost as tough as an iron golem, but always hostile and spawns automatically, while doing insane amounts of damage.
People complained about the aquatic update
but this appears to be 10x worse in every aspect.

Well in the new 1.14 update, if a village is attacked, the new Raid bar will also take Witches as being part of the raid, so... Kind of yes?
The witch is not even the worst or most powerful mob from the current Minecraft. Whether it is an "OG illager" or not, it's still relatively easy to fight off if you're not outnumbered by them, and they cannot open doors, and aside from spawning at light level 7 or below, the only time you'll see them otherwise is if a villager gets struck by lightning. However, if the witch becomes part of some lllager raids then fighting it off won't be easy, at least not without armour and a stone sword with regular bow and half a stack of arrows minimum.
