Are Ghasts Robots?

Some people say Ghasts are actually robots. The official Mojang artwork of it even shows machinery inside one in a Minecraft encyclopedia. I personally think they were just joking with that drawing, but what do you think?

I never saw it as machinery, it just looks more like some weird organs to me.
