how would you know? anyone can put together a few lines and act all desperate, hell some go tot he lengths of continuously messaging someone when they don't reply straight away to "prove" that they are desperate. there is no way for you to know if someone is truly desperate unless you are talking to them face to face, and even then it is sometimes hard
