Million-Dollar Idea
So, I'm completely incapable of making datapacks, but I had an idea- could you make torches and campfires burn out? Mostly just doing this to see if anybody actually replies to these.

Almost done... ran into a problem though. The redstone torch won't stay unlit. Reply if you have a solution plz

Okay so here's the link to download the unfinished project. Anyone can take over as long as I get partial credit. I'm just going to warn you, it's a little tricky.

Yeah you can make them burn out.
BUT it wouldn't work unless you have it so that the torch drops as a stick.

Hmm... maybe you could use a burnt-out redstone torch somehow? IDK I'm not smart

Alright so I researched and if you want to make it look REALLY good.
you can but it takes FOREVER.
The easier way to do it is to just make it turn into sticks.
