Unbreakable stone block in Minecraft?
So while i was strip mining about 5 layers ABOVE bedrock(thats what people keep telling me) i'm running into stone blocks that I cannot break. I wont even swing at them. Another thing that i haven't seen(which might have been implemented into the game) is the fact you cannot even swing at a block unless you have the actual tool you need to break it with. Such as a shovel to dirt or pickaxe to stone etc. PLEASE HELP!
I am NOT in adventure mode because i can break all the other blocks, it is just a few certain blocks i can't break. I am in my single player world. There are no mods installed atm.

Never mind i resolved it, it was a mod problem i think?
Any chance you could put up a video showcasing the problem?

You are in adventure mode. The only breaking blocks specific to their tools(i.e shovel - sand, pick axe - stone) means you are in adventure mode!
He has already specified that he is NOT in adventure mode. I'd agree with whoever said block-lag is involved. Block-lag means you've got lag, and breaking/collecting blocks lags at a horrible rate. Or you might be playing on a server with certain protections in certain areas, and you've just hit the boarder of one. We may need more detail to fully work this predicament out...
Mouse problems? Try switching the use tool key to something like "R" and it might work.
Ok to specify. I am NOT in adventure mode i am in survival. I am NOT on a server im in single player. I AM currently force updating minecraft to see if it is a mod problem. THANKS for the help errbody:)

They said adventure mode, not creative. Adventure mode disables block breaking unless you have the right tool.

Yea, just optifine and a shader mod. But that shouldnt mess with it should it?
