Lately my Minecraft, and now my computer, have been getting lots of lag. I've tried everything - My render distance is as low as I can make it without it not being too far, fast graphics, I've even lowered the frame rate to a lower number, but not too low. I do download stuff, like adventure maps, but I delete them when I'm done. Not just delete the world from minecraft, though. I delete the file in genral.

This isn't helping, and now everything is just kind of, well, slow. If I try to write a comment on PMC, I type something. A good 1-2 minutes later the text shows up. It is painfully slow.

My computer is an HP and I'm running Windows 8. It was orginally a touchscreen but I disabled that. The computer is about 1/2 a year old and I don't have the money to get a gaming computer. Is there anything I can do?

- Pancake
EDIT: I found the specs. For personal reasons, my name will be changed to pancake.

Help how do u upload a picture without posting it to a website :3

CCleaner (Backup your registry)
Make a virus Scan I suggest (Avg,AVAST)
Upgrade your CPU/Processor Less expensive than getting new pc?
Upgrade ram if you already don't have over 4GB
Defrag your hard drive (Google this)
Hope I helped.

1: DO: ctrl+alt+del and shut down some of your programs.

2: If that didnt work restart your computer!

3: I dont know what to say do you have nay mods o texture packs on?

4: If you were playing on a multiplayer server try going on a single player world to see if its still lags

Hope this helped! 3>

When you lower your framerate, you get lower FPS. Also, what are your specs?

Since you are getting the slow processing at all times and not just in game its likely a computer issue and not an in game issue. Run a check for virus and for Malware. Get someone to help if you need it to clean up those items off your computer.
