hey, i was wondering what the whispering sounds i keep hearing in caves are and if there was a way to turn them off? ive tried resource packs but none of them patch it, its giving me really bad anxiety but i know its the game because it only happens when the game isnt paused. its scaring the shit out of me and i want it gone if possible, even if that means i have to go into the game files and somehow remove the audio file. thanks for reading

From the main menu you want to go to the options menu then to "music and sounds"

from you r description you probably want the Ambience / Environment slider, but note that this is not seperable from some environment sounds

Weather may also be good to adjust, thunder will still make me jump when mining.

Theres no whisperings sounds in caves. You must be hearing things....
im not dude. if i could record it i would. theres been other times this has happened i can link the forum posts on mcforums
I do think there is an option in settings, select “Music & Sounds” and ambience should be in the bottom right corner.
tried that. didnt work. only way it turns off is with master volume and im not doing allat
You sure they completely stop when pausing?
1000%. every time i unpause they come back if they were in the middle of a sequence. it seems to happen more often when im around mobs.
