Hello. I want to get rid of the white stripes on the water in the default resource pack of minecraft. So that it looks like this:
So i opened the file water_still.png and its transparent gray in photoshop. Do i edit that? But i want to keep the transparency and i dont know how much transparency the original minecraft water has.
Can somebody help me?

Saw Bdubs videos and also trying to achieve the same water. Have you managed to do so? Perhaps you could send a recourse pack?
A lot of image editing sites/apps will copy the transparency as well as the color if you use a color picker tool on the texture, then you can see what the opacity value should be.
the grey texture is a basis, like if you add a smiley for it, the smiley will be visible on any water. The colour depends on the biome: green to blue
