1.9 glitch/bug thingy

So, I was playing 1.9 and it was perfectly fine. Then placed down an ender chest and for some reason, the item texture was 3 chests squished together. Everything was SOO laggy and this weird texture thing was like flying around. I don't have any mods, and when I went to another world, the chunk thingy didn't load right so I saw a bunch of unloaded chunks and my regular world flashing back and forth! That's why I only play in 1.8 until it is fixed. PLEASE HELP ME because I want my elytra and shield!!! Thanks!!!

I found similar problem, too, as I either went to another world or open the same world for the second time, every chunk then started to keep flashing. It seems to be a bug in Minecraft 1.9...
Maybe you can try restarting Minecraft before entering your world again, as this way has been successful for me so far.
