I've been working on the Washington Has Fallen Minecraft Adventure for the past three years, and we haven't had any issues with our original early builds as far back as 1.9 not being updated automatically without issues when opened in newer versions.
The only issues we had were during one update, colored writing on signs and books stopped working, but it's been fixed now.
Also, we haven't observed any issues with the recent changes to levels, biomes, etc. either. Washington Has Fallen has missions at ground level, below ground level down to the final bedrock layer, and even within the Nether, and they all work like they should.
However, what I would do if I were you, is backup all your worlds to an external hard drive or flash drive (if you don't have a lot) so they are safe. Then once you confirm they are backed up safely, delete the worlds from Minecraft and and install a copy of the single world that you are concerned about and test it in the latest version of Minecraft.
If you need to know how to do a back up - This video should help [url=youtu.be/bIemhftknXQ

Also, this webpage answers questions and answers about back ups, things worth knowing before doing it, ect.

Due to the NBT Tag baseGameVersion being assigned to the Old World Gametype, the Old world would simulate whichever version it was generated in until it was expanded into an Infinite World Type, in which baseGameVersion would be updated to * so it could be updated to the newest version and could be updated with later updates.
If you're trying to spawn an Old World type in 1.18 and forward, new biomes, such as Meadow would generate, however they would be cut off at Y=127 and would mostly be solid lacking caves due to some of the settings the Old format has. This was done by people who used 1.18 Experimental Generation on an Old World. Ancient Cities would not be able to generate since they always Generate at Y=-51 and Old Worlds did not go below Y=0, however with 1.19, there is a rare chance Sculk Blocks could technically spawn in the rare chance a cave would generate since in uncommon instances, Sculk does generate in caves above Y=0.
