Why care about post count?
Hey PMC!
So i've noticed that people are beginning to treat how many posts you have as a game, and are 'post whoring' in order to get more.
I have over 300, and yet you don't see me bragging about it...
Post when you feel it's relevant, not just because you can.

To be honest, I look at my post count every now and then, it's fun to see the milestones you get to, but I don't see why you'd treat it as a competition.
Post counts are not to be judged.
To judge means to form a conclusion/an opinion about something.
To say that no one will judge you by your post count is ridiculous. If you don't judge, okay. Someone else certainly will.

I've just reached my 200th* post on this post. The only reason it matters to me is because I've invested a year in this site, and while I was a little kid when I've joined I've matured and watch myself grow. The post count, to me, is the only way I can remember what I was like as a little kid.
There those people who spam posts with random letters just to get 1 more post count each time.
Big numbers are appealing and intimidating!
everything is a compatition online..in the eyes of the young children
I second that.
I was twelve 3 months ago.
There is absolutely no difference in my mentality today. I find people who think that they are better than others just because of post count is, well, outrageous.

I'm not actually 12, you realize that right?
I Absolutely agree with that
Absolutely agree.
pokemonboy100'Cause a lot of people like big numbers, that's not going to change.nickfromgreeceThePixelPonyI totally agree that post count doesn't matter in any way whatsoever. Posts should all be good quality.
I agree everyone should be treated the same regardless of post count and level.
Eh, I'm not so sure in this case. There are exceptions to everything.
It's just more likely that a user with a higher post count is going to have more experience with what goes on within the forums.
However, in terms of being better than someone. I agree. You're not necessarily better than someone because of your post count. But you may be more experienced in using the forums than a person with a low post count.
Absolutely agree.
SinizterDzinexxtreepuncherxxIncrease my Post count Pl0x.. Thanks
At least my Rank is higher the Miss Shadowz
Atleast my rank is higher than xxtreepuncherxx's ;3
I NEED A HIRE RANK ASAP I CANT EVEN USE A PAWN LIKE THAT!!!!
aww yess, I have a slightly more blue name, I must be special. i bet u al
Indeed it does matter in some situations. But someone could post 50 applications to student l different servers. Someone joined with 1 doesn't matter.
How some people treat it: " I got a big number! IM awesome! And people know it!"
How I treat it: "Well, I post alot, so I have more experience on the site."
Matters on who you are.

To be honest, I never look at ones post count, as far as I know, it could be spam posts or completely unhelfpul posts. I've never really notice the amount of posts I have, because the person's level on PMC is more overpowering and somewhat meaningful.
Who cares about how many post you have......
yeah i agree like idontknow people who create forum's just cauce they got 1000 posts >.>
Miss ShadowzLetsPlay2DSpongyBacon (You're next post is you're 1000th!)
isnt it "your"? or what does that mean, I have no idea... (your is shorter, why using the longer, wrong version?)
You're is you are. Your is a possessive form of you.
In this case, the correct form is your.
you agree to me, great
Well it depends for me really, if someone just joined yesterday and has 1 post, I dont seem to trust them as much as someone joining a month ago with over 10 posts or something like that
Increase my Post count Pl0x.. Thanks

lies, I am level 1000000
I look at people's levels not their forum posts, that's too small of a print to be looking at for everyone!
If I was level 1, would you consider me to be less experienced than everyone else, and lower ranked?

It really just shows how active you've been on the forums. I feel accomplished when I hit a new 500 mark, like 1000, 1500, etc. But I obviously don't whore the forums just to up my amount. But obviously you should treat everyone with respect; except botters.. Death to all botters..
I AM THE QUEEN OF ALL WHO ROAM THIS EARTH, BOW DOWN TO ME, MORTAL.
Why do I always see more people complaining about things than people that actually worry about said thing complaints are about.
Do not question logic

Forum posts show how active you are in the forums. However, some people decide to take advantage of the ability to be able to post new topics or replies.
I only started on the forums about a month ago, but majority of my posts come from the anime hub and everyone there has about 1000 posts on average (I'm the new kid there). I don't really judge on posts, it's just I judge on the post that they've written (like if it's got bad grammar, makes no sense, its mean or not.)
Miss ShadowzONI_LINKPosts can be considered as "Experience for the forums" I suppose. If your a high level on PMC it's seems to be a big thing for whatever reason. I don't see why we can't consider more experience on the forums equally as important.
I don't expect you inferior posters to understand.
Lets see how many of you take that last bit seriously.
I could easily delete all my content and still be considered experienced in the area.
Sounds like me.
Because I love big numbers

It's not necessarily that what you'll have to say is going to change the more posts you'll make, you'll still have the same basic opinions and things... I often look at the level/# of posts to see how they are doing on PMC, if they are lower in level I'll check out their submissions, diamond, leave criticism, etc. I might also check their stuff out if they're very high level because they tend to be the ones with quality submissions.
Aman, I definitely agree. Though I watch lots of videos that have <100 views or whatever simply because they're useful/what I'm looking for. I don't watch because 3 million fanboys are subscribed to the video's creator... AHEM THINK WE ALL KNOW WHO I'M TALKIN' 'BOUT...

Even though you may not like it, it still happens. The bigger the number, the more someone seems to be popular.
For example, why do you think people still watch some YouTuber's when you know they are crap? Because they have a high number of subscribers. Why do you think people diamond submissions for a person with a high level, even if they don't care for the submission?
It's all one big popularity contest and there isn't anything you can do about it.

it shows who uses the forums more
I dont know, But My Goal is to get 500 Posts that arnt Spam and get to lvl 10 To Become a Ninja
I agree that the number of posts doesn't count, as sometimes most of a person's posts are spam, I've seen that before.
No not to me, the person could post a ton of bad stuff and still get tons of views and lvl up that wouldn't make him "cool" and "better", it depends on the work that they will make, then they will be "cool" and "better" but only if there work is good[/quote]
Views dont matter, He would need to get Diamonds, Favorites, Subscriptions To get those you need quality work

Experience? I've seen the forums, I just choose not to post on them. Whatever you consider to be experience, I disagree. Not all experience comes from the amount of posts you have, or what level you are. I could easily delete all my content and still be considered experienced in the area.
You may have mis-interpreted what I mean. By experience I mean like level experience. Not all out experience in the area.
Define level experience for me.
