I am a male, turning 14 (Birthday money). I Have a computer (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ColbaltHD/saved/3q5R) a phone, and a monitor with one dead pixel (Does not bother me), a $25 keyboard and mouse bundle by logitech, and yea that's really it. What should I use with $300? I am debating on a lot of things like a laptop (I can't find a good one any where), tablet, and other things.
And a nice pair of Siberia steel series v2 <3

Start planning for retirement.
Put it in an RRB or at least start day trading.

Put it into a bank
Chicks
Good idea! I did some quick research and found that they are cheap to feed and maintain, good for the lawn, and you can sell what they produce. Gosh, the people on this forum are true geniuses and very responsible with their money!
Learn to raise chickens now!
Great idea! Chickens are great livestock to own, easy to raise and rewarding. Fresh eggs all the time!
Stuff you love... I would get the things Asian parents usually wouldn't let their kids get like fandom merch.
Put it in interest... I mean all of it...
Wait till you have $2500, then spend it on a really nice bike
It's what I did, and I don't regret it... I love biking

Need help saving it...putting it in the bank will collect interest for you but then there is also the problem of still having it available through your debit card. So you take that debit card (or the money in a ziplock baggy if you don't care about the interest) and freeze it in a massive chunk of ice. If you decide to spend it you will have to wait a while for it to melt and might change your mind by the time you get it out of the ice!
I get that you are getting a lot of posts saying save it, but its true. I used to go blow all my money as soon as I got it and then later on I see something I REALLY want that I could have gotten, and I would get sooo mad at myself. If you are patient, you will find something you want.
Any tips on saving cause I have trouble doing that... I might get a mechanical keyboard and nice mouse and save the rest.
Piggy banks are nice or open a savings account with a Credit Union.
Save up the money, you don't need to spend it all right away.
Spend it on things like a Blue Snowball,Pop Filter, 1080p Webcam,Headset,USB Hub, you know, the essentials of gaming.
One dead pixel? LOL, I have the exact problem. Ever since I unboxed it.
Buy a $300 Blazer and Be Professional
Why do you need to spend it?

Please don't say a minecraft server cause i don't want that and please don't advertise and say donate to me.
Beware, many won't read this post since they post from the first page of this thread and don't care about the other posts.
If you have money yet are unsure of what you should spend it on, I think the best option is to save it until you've found something you really want. Don't just spend because you have it.
Why are you letting all these people advertise their hosting companies? He asked what he should spend his money on not what host he should choose. I thought that was against rules
Because I didn't see them. It would help immensely if you would report rule breaking posts so that us moderators could find them quickly and deal with them as needed.
Sorry, forgot I could do that. I'll do it from now on!
Save it. A lot of people think that they have to spend all of their money right away, oh well, you'll learn that one way or the other.
Although, if you insist on purchasing something, buy a second monitor, preferably the same type you already have. That way you can have more screen space (if your computer supports it).

I'd save it. If you have any sort of social life you could use it to go to the movies or just for personal benefits.. at 14 you're really at a hakuna matata phase in ya life but it's always nice to be able to buy things for yaself. Maybe some personal snacks, netflix.. be creative but don't just blow it all on something that ya really don't need. Luxury can wait Be a responsible spender. Lol it'll benefit ya in the long run.
Buy tons of chocolate bars.
Yep, cause no one's got anything better to spend money on....or is that just me....
telamonianajax[]Levi08[]Don't buy an apple product, I know someone who plugged one in and got a shock so bad it flung them across the room
lol. what did they do to it?
cause you are 10,000 times more likely for that to happen to you with a microsoft product.
*rolls eyes* Neither of those are likely at all.
Save it
Put it in a savings account and add to it as you get older. It may not be as satisfying as spending it right now, but it will be worth it.

no it's not.
@OP, save it until you see something you'd like and they buy that. Things change in the space of a few months

Also, if you would like a decent laptop for gaming, you're not going to get one with only 300 bucks... :/
Here are some ideas:
- A flatscreen TV for in your room. :3
- Some awesome games maybe?
- Don't spend it at all and wait until you can buy something more expensive.
- Go hang out with your friends and spend some of the money on soda or something.

I think I might get an Ipad mini (or nexus 7, surface, etc as long as they are 300 or under) or i just might save the money.
