Cyprezz I would recommend creating a license for the whole site and all its submissions. It's not exactly copyright but it IS a license and people will get scared to a point that they won't steal content.

Ok, I just did a reverse IP lookup on that site as well and banned it from accessing this server. Assuming it is a bot and it's running on that server, that will stop it. If it's being manually done, there's really not much I can do. They ignore contacts. I've considered adding a watermark / small logo to the bottom of our images. That way, when they take the images they either have to show them with the logo to the site they took it from or manually edit each and every one of them. That may discourage them from doing it at all. The downside is that all our images will have a watermark on them. I'll run some samples and see what you guys think.

I really hope Cyprezz figures out a way how to stop sites from stealing content on here. Also beast, a format just for this site won't work. Links will take you to mediafire and you will get a .zip file that ANYONE can use.

That's where you are wrong Hawk. They WILL take it down. PMC rightfully owns these submissions and if they choose to keep it up, not only will they get an enormous amount of hate but I'm sure Cyprezz will do something about that.

Well contact them like I did, just state they have to remove the content they don't own or they WILL get in trouble.

My upgraded tools mod was stolen, on multiple sites, and since they copied my description, they are technically claiming credit to it.

As I state: "This is my first mod, ever, and plunge into java..."

A little off topic but he became a Moderator two days ago when Cyprezz was making changes to the Staff.

Yes, it's really annoying that this site gives no credit at ALL to the rightful owners of the submissions. They just upload the mediafire links and they are done...

There are many other sites that do the same thing. I noticed the french site Minecraft.fr has stolen almost all my terrain maps, plus many others from this site. They do credit me by name, but will use my mediafire links so they can download everything without having to go to the project page. it always kinda bothered me a little seeing my mediafire links showing hundreds or thousands more downloads than the actual project even shows.

They do that for attention because they cannot come up with their own content.

I now know 3 sites that pull info from us. I did talk to cyprezz earlier, and he has disabled the ip of one of the site from actually accessing the PMC server.
(in suspicion it was a data mining bot)
