From the US Department of Labor:
"The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets wage, hours worked, and safety requirements for minors (individuals under age 18) working in jobs covered by the statute. The rules vary depending upon the particular age of the minor and the particular job involved. As a general rule, the FLSA sets 14 years of age as the minimum age for employment, and limits the number of hours worked by minors under the age of 16."

Also,
"The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets 14 as the minimum age for most non-agricultural work. However, at any age, youth may deliver newspapers; perform in radio, television, movie, or theatrical productions; work in businesses owned by their parents (except in mining, manufacturing or hazardous jobs); and perform babysitting or perform minor chores around a private home. Also, at any age, youth may be employed as homeworkers to gather evergreens and make evergreen wreaths.
Different age requirements apply to the employment of youth in agriculture.
Many states have enacted child labor laws, some of which may have a minimum age for employment which is higher than the FLSA. Where both the FLSA and state child labor laws apply, the higher minimum standard must be obeyed."

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

You need to be at least 16 to be employed where I live.
13 Here. (y)
Also if you don't pay tax on the money you pay to your employees, expect a long time in prison.
If you haven't registered a company then that is not a legal company. Which you didn't. Also, it is not considered a job if it doesn't include a payment. You can't legally employ someone at that age in any countries either.

Just a couple things you need to consider. First of all, you should specify what type of job it is. Being staff on your little minecraft server is not considered a 'job'. Second of all, if it is actually a company, you probably want to know that you can't employ 11 year olds legally...
Payment?
