> What makes a piece of work "good" in your opinion?


On my Projects:
being able to visualize my vision. I have a specific image in my head that i need to get as close as possible. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Always need to remind me: Perfection is the enemy of progress - The best works happen, when i run like for an hours around it and just enjoy it, knowing how it was made and then being able to enjoy it, is probably the highest result of achievment.
Its like making a film, video or some other craft; you know where you felt short, but when it disappears in the result and you are able to fully immerse into the result .. THATS GOOD STUFF right there :D

On Other Projects:
I see it very differentiated. I have my crafts as a comparison, but i dont compare for the sake of it. I look at other peoples work and let me inspire, thinking through how they did it and admire special parts of it. I guess, a good build, map etc is a project, where I might have learned something from, when analyzing it through, a new technique a new style, approach .. you name it. Also im a man of asthetic, so i like eye pleasing images, that lead me to think, uuUUuu thats pretty!

Stedit is a future project, currently serving as a Map Hub for my projects. It is currently thought of the Website for a future server, but i dont have the base nor the time to actually support such a project atm

Consistent appearance on the site through; projects, wall posts, comments etc.
Actually, you don't need much to grow on PMC, constantly being interacting with us on the site like: LilBitOfSage and Spongie are wonderful examples

For my part, my first maps have maybe onle been seen by 100 people or so.
Subscribers help alot in order to push it through the early stage to get showen to a wider range of people on the trending page, and you collect them over time with every new release (1-5+).
Also, every release is being linked from around 2-5 pages outsite of pmc: youtube, pinterest, reddit, instagram, websites, newspapers, google itself

Especially my stuff is so optimized for google. In general, this field is called SEO -search engine optimization.

For example, every map has a dedicated description with 300+ letters at the beginning (thats whats showen in the search result). Describing what it is so that people CAN FIND IT :D. I have researched world names, names that don't appear on Google at all. And when I release the world, sankandan, qiraterra, racarion.. every time, my maps will be at 1st position on Google.

kinda yes, i had the idea to include some pixelartworks of pixelartists into the Maps or special builds

basically challenging the community to create pixelart outside of the "box" (he.he.)and then trying to recreate it in Minecraft and include it into the worlds

or general pixel artworks, banners, icons, etc
im kinda hesitant, since i dont have a strong footing in the Skinner scene. But the biggest contra is, i don't see enough fantasy/creative/freeform skins out there, ofc it has to be some kind of humanoid-ish due the limitations but ...

it feels like;

- 60% are just not at all polished "meh-skins"

- 30% well skinned variations of "cute girl/boi"

- 9% other types

- 1% innovative creative approaches (what i would look for)



there's just no enough incentive to actually pursue it at the time.

Meddon is a derivative of my original online name, it was around 2014-ish when i switched to Meddon. My original tag was basically a name suggestion, generated by youtube and nothing I could identify with, so scribbled and scrambled around for a few days, researching online if the names were taken and choose the least used one that i was most satisfied with.

2018/19 i came back to minecraft and restarting everything, and basically added the Mc for the youtube side. And then made everything conform, so people would be able to find me.

in general, i put a lot of effort into all of this :D

Definitiv will doe a free 750 sub map and inbetween there i will release for sure again a free one
