If you already read my post then this is just copied and pasted.

My great-great-grandma Nelly, who lived through World War II was always a huge inspiration to me. Her love for her family, incredible cooking skills, and sassy attitude have earned her the title of the most beloved family member. Although I missed meeting her by only 10 years, I'm grateful that I resemble her a lot. This motivation helps me try to live up to her legacy.

As a person with a keen interest in different periods, the 40s/50s have always fascinated me. I am considering living a 40s/50s lifestyle in the spring to experience the unique culture of that era. I would love to hear your thoughts on this idea through the poll I'll be creating. Your input is valuable to me, and I appreciate your support in this journey. Thank you all! <33

I am even thinking about starting a YouTube channel to show my journey through learning about this period!

You could make an archive related to her. I am jealous, because I don't have much about most of my great grandparents. History is an underratted thing and we must fill the holes. 40/50s are interesting times. War and after war, changes of the world

I completely understand! Not having all the information you want about family is hard. I struggled a lot with not being able to find the cause of one of my great great great Aunts who died as a young child. No one knows her or remembers her and it wrecked me. People back then were VERY secretive

Living a lifestyle like hers would be very expensive, requiring a lot of money. One option is to play casino games. Who, doesn't love free, bonuses? I am a gambler and I like it when the site gives us signup bonuses. Recently I came across this https://casinosanalyzer.ca/free-spins-no-deposit/no-deposit-sign-up-bonuses website where They review the casinos and list them there. This online casino review service is informative and useful. It provides you with key information to make good decisions on where to play. It's worth using! If you also need information and reviews about the Cainson, then this Casinosanalyzer is the one.

As others said, not sure how to live that lifestyle in the modern day. The way our world operates has completely changed since then.
However, I wish you luck in any attempts to do so! Not saying it can't be done.

I would definitely encourage researching that time period and trying to view the world through the lenses of our ancestors. They say history repeats itself, and this applies in many ways. Not only in world events, but in humans too. Obviously we shouldn't repeat the bad things, but sometimes a look into history can remind us of things about human nature we might have lost today.

It can be a very humbling experience to know that we are not the first, and everything we have today, is thanks to those before us.

I'm not sure how one would go about living the lifestyle of a bygone decade, but (assuming you are careful to avoid some of the obvious pitfalls e.g. endemic smoking) you mighht find the experience interesting.
[Land lines and network TV only (and that not until after the war), effectively no personal electronics. etc. ]

And, if you can find a way to return to 20¢/gal gas, you ought be able to parley that into early retirement…

I will have to do my best with what I have, which will be a challenge. Even if I don't have every 40s/50s invention I am hoping I can base my life off of that period. I wish gas was that cheap nowadays!!

It's an amazing idea!
This period was probably the worst time in history in my country, but looking at the whole world there were some good things. Especially the fashion.
I'd like to see your experience!

Ironically WW2 inspired most of the 1940s fashion due to rationing (the USA is more debatable as they only restricted fabrics)

That is true! Women's clothing had a more masculine look due to the spreading of patriotism and yearning to help the men of their country.
