Recently, I've been wishing to build a gaming desktop. I've looked around a bit online, and've came up with a build I believe I am happy with.

However, I'd like to know what my FPS rate might be (in Minecraft, of course, and with all settings 'maxed'), simply to get a reference point. As I'm not a graphics card guy, I must ask the community here.

GPU: 650 Ti Boost (2 gigs vram)

CPU: i3 3220 (might change this when the i3 Haswells come out)

Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme3

RAM: 4 gigs of Corsair XMS ram

With that GPU id say around 100-200 on max, however your ram and CPU are bottlenecking the computer

My question is why you have a decent graphics card, but a crappy processor. lol

I'm a wee bit worried that the i3 willl bottleneck your 650 ti, so i'd suggest downgrading to the 650

Hmmm.... I'm not sure about your fps rate (although I am sure it will do more than good enough for Minecraft), but hoe much are you looking to spend on a gaming computer? That might also help get a reference point.

I wish to spend about $650. Here, I've listed but the most essential components.

Certainly, I know it shall run the game.
