Should I Jailbreak My Iphone?

Hey guys,
Today my new smartwatch came in. For $30 I couldn't turn it down. However, it requires the app "BT Notifier," which is not available on iOS. I've heard from some places that you can get it off of Cydia on a Jailbroken iPhone, but I've not seen any tutorials.
I'm thinking about jailbreaking my iPhone 4 (the one without Siri), but just for the single app.

Is jailbreaking my phone worth the warranty loss? I've got an otter box, so my phone is practically invincible, and I've had it for a few years, so I don't see it breaking very soon. If someone has a jailbroken iPhone, would you mind checking to see if "BT notifier" is available on Cydia?

I'm aware that jailbreaking it will void the warranty, and enables my phone to get viruses, but viruses aren't a problem for people who don't mindlessly download apps.

My phone is an iPhone 4. Its warranty has probably already expired. Is the jailbreaking procedure safe, and worth it?

It's basically making it so your device can get games and apps not normally available on that device, but it voids the warranty of the product.

If you're one iOS 7, the jailbreak will slow it down severely. Warranty is irrelevant, as that phone came out 4 years ago and it's probably expired anyway. If it is under warranty and you need to take it in and it's jailbroken, just restore it. Apple has no way of knowing if a device has ever been jailbroken after a restore.

Don't jailbreak. It will become slow, mostly unstable (springboard becomes extremely buggy if you don't know what you're doing). The more fancier the more problems you will get.

Anyone who gives themselves an unstable phone probably deserves it.

Why did your phone end up in jail in the first place?

For everybody out there who says it illegal.
Its not, Its your property and you have full rights to do whatever you want with it.
You should there is no reason not to. There has been no instances of people messing up there phone to the point of unusable. Just remember to back up your phone and use evasi0n and not some scam.
This is the link http://evasi0n.com/
I don't suggest using any others.

Jailbreaking basically allows you to have whatever you want custom add-ons via Cydia (i think, not very experienced with jailbreaking)

Its legal, it just voids the warranty and apple will NOT Replace your device.

BT Notifier is not available on Jailbroken iPhone, I have a jailbroken iPhone BTW and it is nice having jailbreak so if you are only doing it for "BT Notifier" dont get it. If you want to have fun, get it. (Oh and BTW use Pangu for jailbreaking)

If your warranty runs out, you can but i advise not you.
I have had many friends brick there devices (trying to jailbreak) and gave it to me to unbrick.

Also bricking can also come if you incorrectly update operating software version etc.

I would not advise it. You will most likely just end up screwing your phone. Safer to keep you warranty

I think that if you had a newer phone, jailbreaking would be fine, however with your phone it may slow it down severely or even brick it.
