New Headset?

Hey guys,

So recently, my headset broke. It kinda got torn in half, so I kinda need a new one. My old one was from my Dads' workplace, and to be frank, it wasn't the best. Not that I didn't appreciate him getting it for me -- it's given me great use, and I expected it to go for much longer if this didn't happen.

I'm planning on buying a new one from amazon, but I don't know anything about getting a good one. I know there's a fair amount of people (Killertoad and Random, I'm looking at you) who are pretty tech-savvy, so I want to know what to look out for in terms of price, blah blah blah.

I'm going to use it mainly for Skyping with my pals, listening to music, and (possibly) doing YouTube videos in the future. I'm going for under 75$, as I'm currently saving up for a new PC. If you guys have anything I might want to look for, brand-wise and all that, or if you guys could make a recommendation, that'd be great! Thanks!

I am going to suggest Razer kraken pro but I would go with 57r4d`s recommendation since he has much more knowledge in this but NO TURTLE BEACH they are horrible for PC gaming and such

Go for a Logitech G230 headset. It's about $50, sounds amazing, the mic on it is pretty good for a headset, and is overall comparable to my brother Razer Kraken Pro headset. Great headset for the price.

Also, I do NOT recommend getting any Turtle Beach brand headsets. Way overpriced for the quality, and my pair broke withing a few months, I keep very good care of my things, and it was in a box most of the time.
Good luck =)

The Skullcandy Slyr would be a great choice, you can see the review for it on the forum post. I'm not sure why it's not on the blog.

I'm not the best with headphones, I'm not the pickiest when it comes to those. 57rd4 know's a lot about them, he could assist you better than I could.

But I'm sure you could find a decent headset for under 75, probably even 50 bucks. But don't hold that to me :b
