I see the title caught your eye.. Well yes I've come across some money and I want some second opinions on my parts list.
I intend to overclock both GPU and CPU, and no open loop.
Color scheme is red and black, with red LED's. I wanted a red GPU but couldn't really find one suited for this build..
Budget is $3k including SOME peripherals, I already have a corsair K95 mechanical RGB keyboard. I also have a mousepad.. That's about it.
My current system has a 128 Gb SSD a 1Tb HDD(Which I'm gonna put on a shelf and never see again), An optical drive, an R9 280, windows 8.1 install disc, Fx-8320, Wireless card, and some gigabyte motherboard I can't find the box for.

I might wait on the GPU, cuz this pascal hype train thing..
But I'm getting the skylake, the SSD, the RAM, the case..

Don't spend 3k on a PC... Go to a local computer shop (try and find one thats going out of business) and get a "Top of the range" one for £650, as I did
Sounds like you got a good deal. What did you end up getting?
You're spending almost $2200 on a tower and only getting a quad-core CPU and slow DDR4? I spent $100 less than that and got a hex-core CPU, twice the RAM, but only a 980 (since investing any more than $450 in a GPU this close to Pascal is extremely unwise).
Just becasue your cpu has more cores, doesn't mean that it is better by any standards.
Example one: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4 ... MD-FX-9590
Example two: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4 ... MD-FX-8350
Quad core is better in both situations.

You just compared two completely different CPU architectures from different companies with the assumption they're similar. I compared two similar CPU architectures from the same company because I know they're almost the same performance-wise.
Four Skylake cores will be absolutely destroyed by six Haswell cores when clocked at the same speed. At stock speed (3.3-3.7GHz), the i7-5820K is already on par with the i7-4790K and i7-6700K in multicore tests, so if you clock it the same as the quad-cores, it will destroy.
Also, don't use CPU Boss. It's pretty biased towards Intel chips.
My CPU only supports DDR4-2133, but I'm running at 2400MHz just fine and I could easily overclock it or swap it out for DDR4-3200 if I wanted to. Besides, 2133MHz for DDR4 is what 800MHz is to DDR3.
I completely agree with your other points, though.

Slow ddr4? 2133Mhz is enough, if he got "faster" ones, it wouldn't make much difference because the CPU only supports up to 2133Mhz

Also for such a big budget, I'd wait for Pascal, I mean you can wait a bit since your previous pc is decent
You could also get 2 or 3 2560x1440 monitors the cheapest is this one, I think it's overclockable to 120:

Yeah, it's all that CPU supports, which he shouldn't even be using at this price point. It's a consumer grade CPU.
I'd wait till pascal and just get a decent gpu for now. A 750ti/260x is low end, but it will play all the games out right now at decent frames for now. Or if you are running higher resolution monitors, then get a used or refurb card to hold you off for a bit.

I wish I had that kind of money!
you're assuming people don't lie about wealth on the internet
If this guy has this much money he obviously has been saving up for a LONG TIME or is using his moms credit card.
smh
The monitor will be released later this year
Last thing, If triple monitor is not necessary, you can go with new Asus ROG PQ279Q monitor. Its Red and black(ROG LOGO) XD and also extremely good.

I think the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980TI can change LED colours with the program.
Also you can go with the Asus ROG Maximus HERO VIII MOBO. It is red and black!
