Need Ideas for More Enchantments

So I'm making a datapack with custom enchants, and I need help for naming them, and if you have any new enchant idea I'll gladly take it

So far here is a list of all the ideas I've had (I also took ideas from mods and other datapacks)

As datapacks have some limits, I can't assure you that every enchants will be made, but you can still leave your idea and I'll see what I can do about it

I had the idea a week or two ago, so I haven't made much enchant yet, but I'll create new ones each weeks

Curses
Starving -> Gives Hunger
Nitro -> Explode when the armor breaks
Prude -> If you don't wear an armor, will auto equip this one
Shabby -> Drop the durability to 5
Delicate -> Lose more durability than usual
Plagued -> Blocks around become silverfish blocks (temporary)
Alcoholism -> Hallucinations (mobs spawn but do nothing)
Poor -> Ores around the player are transformed into coal ores
Mystery -> Hide other Curses
Attractive -> Mobs detect you from further away
Pumpkin-ed -> Endermen attack players if they walk too close to them
Exhibitionist -> When in inventory, impossible to equip an armor
Pillager -> Golem consider you as hostile
Putrid -> Boost hostiles entities around you but they drop more xp
Haunted -> Attract phantom
Blinded -> Dark Vision
ButterFingers -> Chance to drop your item when mining or attacking a mob
Aquaphobia -> Slowly damage player when in water
Vampire -> Slowly damage player when in sunlight
Death's Odium -> Dying while having this Curse in your inventory will cause you to lose 1 Max HP (can be undone by using a nether star)
Pestilence's Odium -> Non-hostile Entities in your area will be continuously damaged, and won't drop Loot
--Heavy Weight -> Reduce Attack Speed
--Inefficient -> Mining Fatigue
Bluntness -> Opposite of sharpness (Weakness)
--Sinking -> Can't swim and will be slow in water
Bad Look -> Boost mobs when looking at them
Lead Weight -> Can't swim, slow attack but higher damages, mining fatigue, slowness
Poor Balance -> Knockback resistance reduced (+ more fall damage ?)
Bone milk -> Take more fall damage
Sticky -> Can't be dropped, put in a chest or anything (binding but for inventory items)
False Blade -> Small chance to deal 0 damage, as if the blade itself phased though the body (still takes durability)
DisMending -> Xp breaks tools
BackFire -> When you hit a mobs, damage are inflicted to you instead of the mob
Cremation -> You burn all the time
Poltergeist -> You'll hear sounds and screams around you, sometimes you won't be able to break a block like something was in front of you
Gremlins -> Boost baby mobs around you with extra health, regeneration, resistance, strength, ..
Pirate -> Half the screen is black like you have 1 eye
Charon -> You must have at least 1 gold item on you when you enter a boat (no gold = instant death)



Armors
SoulBound -> Is not dropped when you died
Cat Eyes -> Night Vision
Greedy -> Gain more Xp
Magnet/Telekinesis -> Items and XP close to you are attracted to you
Dolphin's Grace -> Swim Faster in Water
Strider's Grace -> Swim Faster in lava
Lava Affinity -> See clearly in lava
Auto Feed -> Feeds you every minute
Multi Jump -> Double Jumps
False Flight -> Allow double jump only if wearing light armor (leather, chain, iron)
LightWeight -> Allow for False Flight to work with heavier armor (gold, diamond, netherite) + Walk on powder snow 1.17
Weather Protection (Clearskies / Rain / Thunder / Winter) -> Depending of the weather, will grant protection, else it will give weakness
Cloud Walker -> Sneak mid-air to stop falling
Ender Eyes -> Can look at endermen
Nature's Grace -> Standing near flowers or leaves will regen over time (as long as no damage was taken recently)
Vitae -> Grants more Health
Ender Mending -> Can directly pick xp from the player xp
Magma Walker -> Create a temporary path on lava
See Though -> When using invisibility potion, the armor becomes invisible too (take more durability)
False Gold -> Makes Piglin think that you're wearing gold

Elytra
Soaring / Flight -> You need less power form firework to gain speed
Collision -> If you hit a mob you damage it
Wind Catcher -> Slow falling
Festive -> A firework might spawn from rocket



Weapons
Sword
Poison Aspect -> Gives poison to the Entity Hit
Thunder Aspect -> The more you hit an entity, the more chance there is for lightning to spawn on it
Water Aspect -> Extra damage if you/ the enemy is in water/ wet + Extra damage against fire Entities
Ice Aspect -> Slow down Entities
Butchering -> Extra Damage to Animals
Defusion -> Extra damage against Creeper
Purification -> Extra damage to fire immune Entities and Nether Mobs
Spell Breaker -> Extra Damage to Witches
Bone Crusher -> Extra damage against Skeletons
Ash Destroyer -> Extra damage to burning Entities (blaze, magma slime, ..)
Viper -> Extra damage to Entities with poison/ wither
Bane of Illager -> Extra damage to Pillager
Unpredictable -> Random Damage (can heal, deal 1 or 50 dmg, ..)
Weather Attack (Clearskies' Favor / Rain's Bestowment / Thunder's Bestowment / Winter's Grace) -> Depending of the weather, will grant protection, else it will give weakness
Swiftness -> Boost Attack Speed
Fast Food -> Living Animals/Passives wont drop anything but therefore replenish Hunger
Repulse -> Tp away the entity you hit
Vampirism -> Take a few health from enitities hit
Nostalgic -> You can spam click to hit
Potion Tipped -> Being able to apply lingering potion effect on the blade with a specific amount of usages
Stunning -> Has a chance to stun the entity for some times
Spider's Blessing -> A cobweb appears on the mobs each time you hit it
Airblade -> Increases reach, but at the damage cost

Bow + CrossBow
Hell Bell -> Shooting a bell gives the arrow's effect to every close Entities
VbOLT -> Summon lightning on the arrow
Burst Arrow -> Arrows explode
Flame II -> Set fire to the block the arrows is in
Swap -> Swap your position with the entity you hit
Sniper -> Arrows aren't affected by gravity
Shattering -> Arrows destroy glasses
Repulse ->Tp away the entity you hit
Strong Draw -> Don't need to fully draw a bow to shoot at max speed
Levitator -> Gives Levitation to the Entity
Ender Marksmen -> If an arrow Hits a target, the arrow will return to the User
Chase -> Will go toward the closest mobs
Lumos -> Place a torch where the arrow land

Trident (idea + idea)
ThunderStruck -> Shooting a Bell will summon lighting around
Cloud Maker -> When throwing a trident, leave a path of temporary blocks behind
Poseidon Path -> Lava path
Hook -> Hit an entity, then throw the trident -> will tp the entity to the trident
Slipstream -> Create a trail behind the trident, every entity near it will be absorbed by it and will be move to the trident
Chase -> Will go toward the closest mobs



Tools
Momentum -> Speed increases for each consecutive block of the same one mined
Ender Mending -> Can directly pick xp from the player xp
Smelter -> Directly melt ores and some other blocks without the need of a furnace (works with fortune)

Pickaxe
Vein Miner -> Break all adjacent ore to the one you broke
Mining+ -> Mine in 3x3
Reinforced Tip -> Mine faster when mining obsidian
Smart Ass -> Mining falling block will break the top block first
Midas Blessing -> Will convert all ores you mine into gold ingots
Skull Breaker -> If critical on the head -> mining fatigue+ small chance to instantly kill it

Shovel
Smart Ass -> Mining falling block will break the top block first
Skull Breaker -> If critical on the head -> nausea+ small chance to instantly kill it

Hoe
Replant -> Auto replant a harvested crop
Skull Breaker -> If critical on the head -> blindness+ small chance to instantly kill it

Axe
Berserker -> The more you hit, the stronger you get (temporary)
Penetrating Edge -> The more armor the enemy has, the stronger the hit will be
Blessed Edge -> Heals you when you hit Undead Mobs
Cursed Edge -> Extra damage, but damages you a bit for each hit
Fiery Edge -> Burns the Entity for longer
Disorientating Edge -> Chance to give nausea
Timber -> Cut down an entire tree in one cut
Skull Breaker -> If critical on the head -> slowness + small chance to instantly kill it
Dispensable -> Can throw the axe




Other
Shield
Anti KnockBack -> Ignore knockback effects
Empowered Defense -> Gives a knockback and attack boost after blocking an attack
Mirror -> Projectiles bounce on the shield

Fishing Rod
End Fisher -> Fish in the void of the End and loot some special Items
Lava Fisher -> Fish in the lava and loot some special Items
Hook -> Bring an entity to you
Explosive Bait -> Can throw away tnt with fishing rod

Shears (Ideas)
Leafy Harvest -> Used to harvest leaves to earn some goods
Experience Harvest -> Same as Leafy Harvest but with xp
Whitening Wool -> ​Kill a sheep with these to earn some white wool
Murderer -> ​Gives Blindness to the entity hit
Rainbowing -> Gives random colored wool
Deforestation -> Break all the leaves in a radius
No Name -> Take back nametag from named entities

Flint and Steel
Souled -> Place blue fire instead of red one
Mystic Fire -> Light an ender portal without the need of an eye
Tnt -> throw lit tnt when holding a tnt in mainhand and flint in offhand

Totem of Undying
Phoenix's Blessing -> When died, will resurrect you with full Health and Hunger. Also grants 30 seconds of Regen

Compass
Ender Lode -> Will teleport you to the lodestone registered into the compass (if no damage was taken and if not moving)

Clock
Impatient -> Time around you passes faster
OverSleeper -> When you sleep, 2 days passes (crsop grow up, animals can breed again, ..)

Horse Armors
Trampling -> (Idea)
Pegase -> Fly with your horse
Charge -> Hurt Entity when running into them
Magma Walker
Ice Walker
Feather Falling
Soul Speed

Curse That Little Gremlin!: a curse on armor that buffs baby zombies nearby. Baby zombies will get extra 5 health (2.5 hearts), regenerate, have resistance 1 and strength 1. Baby zombies have a higher chance to spawn, and they agro at longer ranges. Maybe the resistance and Strength can be too much but they can be on a higher tier of the curse if necessary.



Joke enchant: What was in there? which applies to elytra, and gives rockets a chance to make a firework, made for fun and not really to change gameplay all that much other than laughs.

Joke enchant: Don't scare me like that! which applies to armor and tools, and will randomly make the dead enderman noise, give blindness and very high slowness for a short amount of time (no more than 4 secs), and for that same time, put a zombie with no ai, enchanted netherite armor and sword in a way that is visible, but depending on the circumstances and player location that might not work so give a chance for the zombie itself to spawn.

I do want to know if you also want enchant suggestions that would work with the Gear Overhaul datapack you made so that if anyone wants a enchant for the custom items there, they can feel free to recommend it here with proper indications that they are for the gear overhaul datapack and not the enchant one. Also feel free to not include joke enchants if it doesn't fit the theme you want from the datapack.

Though I'm mostly thinking of new enchants not taking other datapack in consideration, you can send me idea for Gear Ov if you have any (and explain it is for Gear Ov)

And I'm not looking for a them in particular, just enchants, any kind of them

Upon acquiring the curse it will bind to an random tool, weapon or armor peice which is perminant and the curse cannot be lifted from the item. The player cannot see which item it is applied to.

While the item is in the players inventory or in use, it will summon a ghost or spirit which even though it will not harm the player directly it will stay close and randomly make you drop any item in your hand and stand in front of you to get in the way.

Charons curse: must have atleast 1 gold nugget in your inventory for the boat man when you enter a boat or the curse is active.

You loose the nugget once you exit the boat.

Exit the boat without a gold nugget is instant death.

Curse is ONLY lifted after you exit a boat.

The lightweight enchantment should also allow players to walk on powdered snow when the 1.17 update comes out.


Airblade: a sword enchant that increases the sword's reach, this does less damage in the area so if the mob is in the range of the airsword but not the normal minecraft range you do 10% less damage, and if you are in normal reach then it will just deal normal sword damage. This should also apply to sweeping edge. Also if you try to break blocks with the airblade because of extra reach, you get mining fatigue because the airblade isn't strong like the normal blade.

Flint and steel enchantment that might be overpowered or underpowered

Mystic Fire
Light end portals without eyes with flint and steel

65 - 100 levels via table, 1-100 chance to get on table
Requires you to have gotten the "We need to go deeper" achievement. (Can be cheesed and that's the point)

30 levels via books
(optional) CHANGE TO DESERT WELLS
30% have a chest under the water
Desert well loot table
Notch apple, golden apple, Mystic Fire book, diamonds, iron ingots and nuggets, gold nuggets, string
Dunno if u can do this, but if u do the book is only obtainable in wells

If no desert well thing then Mystic fire is obtained in fortresses.

You can actually GO UPWARDS.
three levels
Higher levels means more boost

Maybe? curses can be given to armor and weapons by witches for 5 days. The curse then dissapears
If under 5 days the witch curse of vanishes you and you die under those 5 days, they are permanently gone
This is so curses are less of an optional thing

Steady walker
Not affected by ANY speed effects, negative or positive, (Like on soul sand or potions) Not affected by ice slipping

Telekinesis: Block broken by the pickaxe automatically appear in your inventory immediately after breaking.
Smelting Touch: Smelts blocks when you break them.

Oversleeper: An enchant on the clock, when you use the bed to sleep, when you wake up, two days have passed, and updates will be treated as they are but for 30 mins instead (evening sleep + 1 day = ~30 mins). Maybe too much, I dunno what makes the boundaries of datapack making.



Curse of Cremation: a curse that goes on armor, where if you wear it you get set on fire that lasts 10 secs, and reactivates every 2 secs. More of this curse worn, (differing armor) increases the length of fire, and the damage you take from fire. Wearing 4 armor with this curse makes deals damage as if you are in lava, and it lasts a full 20 secs with the same 2 secs (so extra 3 secs per armor piece after the first.)

Spider's blessing: A weapon enchant, where when you hit an enemy, a cobweb is placed in their ~ ~ ~ location, which slows them down though the cobweb.



Magma Walker: just that it also applies to horse armor. But it's the same enchant that you have for players.




Creator's persistence: a curse that doesn't allow it to be repaired, enchanted or disenchanted.

No, soulbound is more like a keep inventory

It's not erased from the world when you die, it'll stay in your inventory

curse enchantment: backfire I (for weapons)
arrows and swords, etc just attacks you instead of mobs

good enchantment: backfire II (kinda like thorns for armor)
mobs damage themselves, and get debuffs if they have

good enchantment: chase (for shooting weapons)
follows mobs

curse enchantment: breaking i/ii/iii (for tools and stuff)
less durability

Good enchantment: Sharpen I/II/III (for stonecutter)
it makes swords get sharpness. teo or one xp for sharpness.
curse enchantment: dis-mend (opposite of mending)
yah, xp breaks tools, so be careful when you mine or kill.

curse: harm for sword, axe, bow, trident

enchant: dolphin grace for helmet (this enchant is more common for turtle shell helmet)

- Another curse, can be put on any item using an anvil
- Any item that has this on it cant be dropped, put in a chest, or otherwise discarded, its pretty much just curse of binding but for your inventory items

This can be renamed to be Body-bound, or just the normal Curse of Binding, because the word sticky kinda has a positive-neutral connotation rather than a negative or negative-neutral connotation. Instead though, Sticky can be a lead or fishing rod enchant that lets you carry things for longer distances, so leads on animals can go further before falling off, and when you grab a mob with a fishing rod, it gets pulled to you more than a normal fishing rod, and you can have faster pickup rates because fish or other objects cannot get off the hook because it is sticky, though this can be incompatible with other custom fishing rod enchants. Yes I want a Sticky enchant to have my idea over yours, and I did give a suggestion to your enchant, but oh well.

False flight, an enchant on the boots which allow you to have a double jump if the rest of your armor is chainmail, iron, leather, elytra, turtle helmet or have feather falling on your boots.



Lightweight, an armor enchant that allows you to wear better armor than chain, iron, and leather and still have false flight work. This can be scaled, if you have I then diamond works, II allows for gold and netherite because gold is heavy and netherite needs gold.

Curse of false blade, this tool and weapon curse has a chance for you to deal zero damage, as if the blade itself phased though the body, I used blade because it is more common on swords and axes than other tools. You still take durability damage though.

See though, a treasure enchant that allows you to wear armor while having invisibility and not being able to be seen. but you take more durability.



False gold, a treasure enchant from bastions or nether fortresses that makes piglins think you are wearing gold.



Potion tipped, an enchant on tools, weapons, and trident that gives weakened potion effects (weaker or equal to lvl 1 potions), with a specific amount of usages, until you have to reenchant it. There can only be one potion tipped enchant at a time, these things can be from putting a lingering potion in offhand and tool on an anvil, and you use the potion and bottle. level 2 potions will increase usages for the tool, and not change the power of the potion itself. (Doesn't need to be lingering, but I feel that makes more sense because it lingers unlike splash potions)

Skull breaker: This will be a super strong enchant so maybe you need more levels, such as 50 levels and 20 levels will be used to get this one, and there is still RNG. This enchant is an attack enchant on the axe, shovel, hoe, and pickaxe, where if you land a critical on the head of a mob, there is a percent chance to instantly kill it, or deal 10 hearts of damage, along with applying slowness, blindness, and mining fatigue, though that may be too broken, so slowness and blindness should be good. This will be a low percentage, maybe 5-7 percent chance because this is really strong. It can be nerfed or buffed to suit your needs though so do as you like with it

Sinking, heavy weight, inefficient, penetrating edge, and effects of slowness, and strength can be one curse together called lead weight that is used on armor. This implies that there is a large amount of lead in your armor, and because it is heavy, you can't swim, have to swing harder, and are much slower, but the weight can be applied to weapons and give more strength because you have to put more weight into your swings, this will be a curse though because more cons than pros, but that can be more balanced by having high strength.



Increased knockback curse, called poor balance, or something better. You will take more knockback to enemies because you have poor balance or footing, you also can take more fall damage but that can be a different level like poor balance II.
