How to update an texture pack to 1.8.9 to 1.16.5?
Hi, my fan wants that 1.16.5 version of my texture pack? How to update the pack if you know please do it for me or give me the solution here is the pack

What I do is I download a pack for 1.16, then edit all the textures. In your pack.mcmeta i'm pretty sure there is a number, and change it to... six? I believe six. There are some tutorials for it.
You basically have to compare folder and texture names with 1.16.5.jar
And of course change pack_format in pack.mcmeta to 6 ( for 1.16.X)

I make a new folder and place in the assets from the newer version- Then I drop and drag all of the files from the old pack into the assets folder.
I have tried other stuff- But that didn't end well
