Patriam is once again looking for new permanent members to add to it's staff team. Currently, with our new focus on questing and RPG elements as well as the coming release of the Third Edition of the server, we are looking for new specialised staff members. Specifically developers who are familiar with making custom-coded plugins (we are not looking for bug fixers), builders who are familiar with ancient and/or medieval styles of building, and lastly Quest Designers who will be required to draft and then implement quests for players to participate in across the planet of Patriam.

We are Patriam™️ Studios, founded in January of 2020 however Patriam™️ has existed since 2018 as an uncompleted Hearts of Iron IV Mod. We are working alongside New Zealand author A K Q Donnelly to bring the Patriam™️ Universe to life using a wide range of media including a Minecraft Server, books, films and possibly even standalone games if our community grows to that size.
How did Patriam™️ come to be?
Patriam began as a WIP Hearts of Iron IV Mod (never released) back in Mid-2018 but eventually progressed into becoming a Geopolitical Minecraft Server in August of 2019. The server was closed again in September of 2019 by community vote and work began on the Second Edition of Patriam, giving a 500x bigger map, new custom plugins such as the ability to create NPC Soldiers, as well as shifting more towards the RPG and Roleplay genre of servers as the geopolitical genre began to fizzle out and die. For the Third Edition of the server, which is scheduled for March 2021, we plan on having a far larger emphasis on quests, lore and roleplay while also sticking to our roots and allowing players the freedom to explore the new map and form their own nations once more.

Set upon the fictional world of Patriam™️ on the outskirts of a desolated Milky Way Galaxy fair into the future, Patriam™️ takes place millennia after a Great Galactic Catastrophe that sent the people of Patriam™️ back to the Stone Age. Now, they have moved into a new Medieval-Classical Era as civilisation begins to reemerge. But what secrets does the world hold? Of it's prior occupiers.... the precursors?
Patriam™️ is set on a fully custom map. The server includes a variety of unique and customized Plugins to fit the world and lore, including a brand new, never seen before custom plugin, that allows nations to take command of NPCs and use them to wage wars, protect trade routes, defend towns, cities, castles, forts etc. with many more custom plugins on the way! As well as a vanilla+ custom resourcepack adding new blocks and items!
Patriam™️ has a discord for all players to join that gives up-to-date notifications on server progress, events, announcements and more, as well as giving new players the opportunity to engage with the Patriam Community. There are already a variety of nations to join which are created by members of the community, otherwise, new players can forge their own destiny in Patriam™️ and create their own nation.
What are the basic requirements and expectations to join the Patriam Staff Team?
- Builder
As a builder, you're not expected too or given the permissions to deal with chat infractions or hackers. This means you cannot kick, mute, ban, vanish, tp, etc. You're expected to use Discord and report them to a Helper or higher depending on the situation for it to be handled. If one is not available, you're expected at the very least to grab screenshot evidence of all chat infractions and/or video proof of hacking if applicable.

If there are issues with Quests such as bugs, glitches that allow mass farming of money or items, duping etc. then you are expected to deal with that or immediately report it to a Moderator+

- Discord is used to interact and communicate with the entire staff team. Pushing notifications for rule updates, asking questions, etc.
- This means you must be active on the Discord and be able to be contacted at least most of the week

- A microphone is recommended, but not required.
- We have staff meetings ever now and again. Being able to talk to our staff is a great opportunity to get to know them and express their ideas more than words can.
- Able to be active throughout the week on the server and Discord.
- We all have lives and have to take personal time off and school and exams and whatnot. That's fine, but please make sure you are able to handle your obligation to the server to be at least noticeably active throughout the week.
- A Google / Gmail account.
- We have staff documents that are limited to invite only for security reasons. So we may need your gmail to add you to them.
- Ability to work in a team of other builders whilst following directions from a Chief Architect and the Owners.
- We have a Chief Architect and Project Manager who run the build team respectively under the Owners. We expect you to follow any reasonable directions given on building and working for the build team.
- If anything unreasonable is asked, which is outside your duties as a builder. Please respectfully decline and if you think its more serious, feel free to contact the owners at any time for support.

Specific Requirements

- This is required, no exceptions. There will be a specialized chat on the Patriam Discord for the Quests team to interact and brain storm.
- A creative and innovative mind.
- An understanding of the server's play style
- Understanding the the Quests plugin and Citizens (NPCs)
- A Google / Gmail account
- This is required as Google documents will very likely be made to better organize Quests plans and implementations
- This can also be used to login to Trello.
- This is a board management site that allows us to organize tasks and cards. You'll be introduced to it when needed.
