The server is going to be an EPIC and engaging experience, drawing inspiration from titles such as
- Lord of The Rings
- Skyrim
-World of Warcraft
The idea is to sculpt a wold full of questing and objectives that will also alter the way the outcome of the server & story telling.
There will be dynamic aspects to the server & story such as;
Dynamic Towns -
You will stumble upon towns in your adventures around this world. During the early days of the server these towns will be small and fragile providing very little benefit and few quests.
The Player can invest Money/Resources & Time into dynamically upgrading the Architecture/Functionality and quests of the towns they enage with, this will the leave the town in a better position for the next player that may stumble past. You can also revisit these villages to gain from the benefits & daily quests they provide.
Custom Items - Unique Stats Per Item
Unique item drops and quest rewards. Enjoy full loot tables with tiered legendarily and completely unique items. A gem system too.
Custom drop tables from bosses and custom dungeons and encounters.
You will encounter many NPC towns & villagers you can choose to help or raid on your adventures.
Civilizations - Settle Down
Start Your own civilizations with government types and even elections!
Custom buildings such as quarries that will auto mine for you! (What about the economy and inflation you say? Pffft thats a breeze with our dynamic economy that fluctuates prices based on Supply & Demand!!)
We know this all sounds great and their is so much more!

Nostalgia MC Progress Update #2

Kingdoms introduced instead of Civs
This allowed us to implement our first outpost: Nefarious Arena.
Expect more arenas with weekly and monthly timers to offer better loot!

Starter Tutorial & Thurdes Isle
==========================
We introduced the new starter area and Human main city, Thurdes Isle.
With this we included a basic starter tutorial to assist with new player retention (Which previously was our biggest critique)
We also introduced our first low leveling zone Tulipvale Residence which is a great place for new players to gear up on thurdes isle.

Loot Crates & Angelchest

loot crates now actually fall from the sky in certain areas!
When you die outside of PVP your items are kept safe from ClearLagg in a chest.

Boss Mobs
==========================
Boss Mobs for dungeons have been introduced that I will continue to make more challenging.
This functionality will eventually allow you to hire these boss mobs to defend your nexus
Boss pets maybe?

Human is the new starting default race
Minor Fixes and balances added.

A new dungeon has been in the works for a while and is finally in a releasable state, Magmere Chasm.
A temporary warp has been setup at /warp Magmere_Chasm
The dungeon will still need some work and please report all bugs found!
The old dungeon will be taken out of commission for a short while for a rework and item balance to accommodate its difficulty

Skills system released
- Balanced Skills
- Removed the ability to sell souls to the economy
- Priest added to starter classes
- The Cooldown of changing skills is now 12h
Civ Revamp
- Structures building requirements were greatly reduced to allow for creativity when planning builds.
- War system adjusted to ensure it was not profitable for big groups to target smaller groups.
Started on new Tutorial Area
Finished builds in Dwarven
Released a P2P Trading system to allow for safe transactions
RTP was introduced
Random Loot Chests will now fall from the sky in the wild
Mobs now have individual levels
- The higher the level the more of an item it will drop (i.e Skele's drop more bones / This is due for a rework)
The build for the second dwarven dungeon is complete
Tiered items were reworked 3 times
- We have gotten them to a good place
- Drop rates of all items were adjusted

Will this be an adventure map then? You look like you are hiring mostly world builders/sculpters... Do you have enough scripters as well? If it will be a creative world, what are you doing to keep people from just tearing things down or ignoring you and making their own stuff?

It will be Survival/Adventure with a civilization element (Player Towns). We have protected regions (World Guard) and outside of those the player is free to build.
Players can claim protected land through the town system.
Late game Towns will have the option to siege each other.

One last thing, Im a full stack developer by trade so we have some highly complex features on the server.
