When doing a recent Iron Golem skin [q.v. Ice Golem Mob Skin], I was using the provided base to locate the various parts of the model.
The base png includes an area that looks like it should be something, but which I can not find in the 3D depictions.
What is this?

Removing it doesn't seem to result in anything being missing. . . . .

Well i don't really have an idea but you can open block bench and it will show you which part uses this texture. If any does.

Maybe it was a concept that was scrapped? but a part of it was left in game on accident?

Might be… I'd still like to know what it was used for / intended as…
The wiki says the Iron golem texture was updated for 1.14 but the 19w08a still shows this bit
It does seem to have removed an additional 'unused bit' in green (below the head and above the body) that is present in 1.13
I should probably check some more asset packs, but hoped aomeone amongst theskinners would just know.
