Do you think the desert biome needs any updates?

Seeing what Mojang was teasing years back, the Vulture and Flowered Cactus would be great additions to the Desert. I also think that if they were to add Tumbleweeds as a fuel source that can be found in the desert (One would cook two items in a furnace) as an uncommon means of fuel, it would give players who get a desert spawn with no wood at least a way to cook something (Considering Dead Bushes can provide sticks for tools).

I also think a rare new Desert Sub-biome called 'Desert Oasis' would be nice with lush green jungle grass with palm trees surrounding a small lake. It would have two or three palm trees, one or two stems of sugar cane, and a couple of flowers. Maybe even a fruit bearing bush, but unlike sweet berries doesn't damage the player if they try to move through it. Fish would be able to spawn in the water at the Oasis as well for food. And at the Desert Oasis, it would be a biome that isn't considered hot, meaning it can rain there, which would have the body of water make sense. In the Desert Oasis, Desert Wells and Ruined Portals will not generate due to the body of water, however Desert Temples, Villages, and Trail Ruins on rare occasion can. This would make up for Mojang removing Desert Hills since Desert Hills did have small ponds and lakes generate at them.

Another cool rare Desert Sub-Biome that could be made would be the Yellow Glass Desert, based off of the Libyan Deserts that have uncommon amounts of yellow glass along the sand. Basically have suspicious sand in this biome spawn uncommonly and have it's loot commonly be yellow glass shards and rarely green glass shards, where 9 shards can be combined on the crafting table to make yellow and green glass respectively. Additionally, This biome would have craters in this desert subvariant where the Suspicious Sand would uncommonly spawn, suggesting meteors created the yellow and green glass. The suspicious sand in this biome as well could also commonly contain bonemeal, gunpowder, dripstone points, and iron nuggets, while very rarely containing diamonds, raw iron, or raw gold. Sandstone would be more common in this Subbiome as well, having more of the desert surface outside of the craters be a mix of sand, dripstone (Not Dripstone Points) and sandstone. In the Yellow Glass Desert however, Structures such as Desert Temples, Trail Ruins, Villages, and Desert Wells will not generate. Ruined Portals however can generate in this sub-biome.

These are things that can improve the Desert.

No. Just as there is value in white space in page layout, there is value in clean, clear, minimal content biomes to provide contrast to the more complex ones.

The current rather austere deserts fulfill that purpose.
