Help with Texture Changes

For a couple days, I've been attempting to make a variant of the pig with all of the features of the pig and just different colors. However, I'm struggling with changing the texture that it uses when saddled. Does anyone know how to change the saddled pig texture?

what seems to be the issue? as far as i can tell, it's just a different texture in the same folder with no weird properties

The UV map is lining up to the old pig saddle skin for some reason, instead of the new one I made. I’ll look it over again just to make sure there’s no typos.

the UV mapping? that's definitely very odd. no idea what could be causing that, sorry :(

Just a quick update, I got it to work! I needed to go into the visual studio code and change the saddled texture to call on the new one, because even when using the Entity Wizard it always calls on the default pig skin.

i just realized this thread is about behavior packs and not just resource packs. yeah, that issue makes complete and total sense now. woopsie >w<
