The Gemling was part of a completely different project and since I'm really proud of how I did I decided to isolate it and make it it's own functional altered playstyle.
Uncertainties: This project was made in 1.19.4 as a datapack for widest accessibility and I'm not sure if it will work on 1.20 or above. As far as I know it should, there's no reason why it shouldn't but I do know it will not work in any version lower than 1.18 due to the rework of the /replaceitem command in 1.17. This pack is made for multiplayer but is not made for multiple people to be the Gemling. For anything to actually work in this pack a given player must have the tag gemling which can be given by running the command /tag player add gemling. If you still want multiple people to be the gemling you can run /tag @s add except. This will cause everybody who doesn't have the gemling tag to get it but I have every confidence this will break Here Be Dragons!
Stuff: When a Gemling dies, a Desaturated Power Gem will drop. When a Gem is powered it can be leveled up through 3 Tiers. Each Tier of Gem can hold 2 more Potion Fragments. Wowowaortijhiwhat are Potion Fragments you ask? There are 8 different Potion Fragments that can be made, see image gallery for recipes. For the recipes, drop all the items above the block onto the block to make the item below the block in the recipe images. To upgrade Tiers of the Gem see image gallery for recipes. If you think the recipes are unfair, cope and I'm not going to spoil everything so have fun exploring. To add a Potion Effect to a gem hold ONE of the desired Potion Fragment in offhand and Power Gem in mainhand and open an anvil.
