Sit on any block data pack v1.2
For Minecraft 1.14 to 1.19!

Note: This data pack became redundant with the release of Minecraft 1.19.4 with the addition of the /ride command in 23w03a since there are now better methods for letting players sit on blocks!

The Download link will redirect you to an adfoc.us page. It is an easy way for me to make money off my data packs.
Make sure to click the skip button that appears in the top right corner after 5 seconds.
On Modrinth click on the Versions tab and download the latest version.

For Minecraft 1.14x to 1.18x: Use a legacy edition (click here)

Features:
This pack gives you the ability to sit on stairs and blocks and create benches/chairs

To sit on a block, stand on it, put any items in your main hand away, look down and right-click.
Stairs work kinda the same way, the only difference is, that you don't have to specifically look down to sit on them.
These 'chairs' will stay longer, but will despawn after a few minutes. To get rid of a chair immediately, hold any type of axe in your main hand or break the stair.

Multiplayer has some issues!

To check for updates, use/trigger menuand hit the Check for Updates button. There is also a Reset and an Uninstall button.

Fantastic! I've been wanting this for ever! Is there any way to make the "horse" disappear? Holding the axe just makes you stand up right away.

The horse should get the invisible effect by default. If that doesn't happen, it could be caused from a different data pack or plugin

Sorry, I phrased that poorly : P I meant the horse's health bar. Any way to remove or reduce that?

Sorry for not responding this long, I have been quite busy lately. I can reduce it but I think there is no way for me to remove it completely. Thanks for the suggestion!

So i'm running a 1.19 server with some datapacks, the siting datapack worked for a while then a few restarts later and it no longer works? anyway to fix?

Did you try resetting the data pack? (via the menu or with the command /function sit:reset)
If that doesn't help try uninstalling (via the menu or with the command /function sit:uninstall) and reactivating the data pack with /datapack enable "file/sit_on_any_block-v1.2.1-mc1.19-datapack.zip"

I accidentally removed the datapack with the chairs still being there. This happened because of my mistake and I never realized I've done the mistake. Is there a way to fix this? If not, then may I suggest making another way of making players sit on any block?

Well, you could just simply add the pack back in, keep using it or if you want to uninstall, so the chairs disappear use the command /function sit:uninstall
