currently just a work in progress, once this is done it aims to improve the varity in fighting styles on the cmnc minecraft server allowing far more variaty in how people fight rather then everyone resorting to the same weapons/armor because its better then the rest. When finished this will hopefully change this completely giving a more mortal kombat kind of system where there are plenty of ways to fight but none are objectivly the best.
this datapack adds a Skill point system into the game
The current version requires you to give yourself an item with the Gui tag "/give @s book{Gui:1b}"
when you've done this the datapack will give you a book that lets you use your skill points
when opening this book you can explore the diffrent places where you can spend skill points, as default you have 10 SP and 5 AP(more on that later)
when spending SP on something you get bonus's relative to where you spend them, after having spend 7 SP on a single place you unlock an Ability Point shop (AP shop) where you can spend AP to unlock various different abilities allowing you to fight more effectively
Ranged SP
if you spend SP on the ranged category you unlock bonus's that effect all arrows shot by you
the ranged category is also the only 1 with a buyable ability being Melee Arrows costing 1 arrow wich allows you to use arrows as a last resort if someone gets to close for usage of a bow
Melee SP
the melee category is divided into 2 subcategories general and weapon specific
General
the general category gives you overall good bonus's all of wich being buffs, it however doesnt have an AP shop
Weapon specific
the weapon specific category leads you to spend SP on a specfic weapon type each with their own buffs/debuffs
after spending 7 SP on one of these weapon types you unlock a AP shop with abilities you can buy
Ability Point shops
the ability point shops are always available for you to check out but wont let you buy any abilities unless you have spend 7SP on whatever category the shop corresponds to
there is also a general AP shop with abilities that dont require you to spend 7SP anywhere these abilities arent tied to a weapon and generally less good when you're fighting an opponent
Whats currently done and what's missing
Currently all the code is inplace for the Ranged category, the SP guide, the general melee category, and 2 of the weapon specific ones (longsword/twinblade)
the melee arrow is done
and all the code to add the rest of the SP bonus's is ready to be added
whats missing is largely just the abilities as have variating difficulty being implemented, im also open for ability ideas in the comments
