---Check Out the NEW OCEANS ONLY DEEP---
Years ago I found myself playing on an ocean biome only Minecraft world. I enjoyed the challenge that it presented, having to play Minecraft in a completely different manner to what you'd find in any normal survival playthrough. However, I came across many instances in my playthrough in which i was stumped, or simply could not progress.
The lack of beaches for buried treasure to spawn meant i could not make conduits to take full advantage of my watery environment. There being no ocean monuments meant that I couldn't defeat the elder guardian and reap its sponges to make a cool dried up water ruin. There was no variety in my surroundings. Everywhere was just a deep blue, shallow void.
I had spent years scouring the internet looking for this dream data pack. A data pack that had all the minecraft ocean biomes with all the structures I wanted, but to no success. That is....
UNTIL NOW
I have created what I believe to be the perfect ocean survival experience.
All the oceans spawn in as minecraft originally intended, no custom, broken feeling generation. No more Massive land masses in your ocean worlds. Finding a sufficient food source has now become a much harder challenge without the random passive mob spawns littering your island you find with other data packs (one of those niche immersion breaking details). With this data pack you have a real sense of progression, obtaining otherwise easy resources has become more of a challenge and often leaves you coming up with creative solutions, but onced solved, leaving you with a real sense of achievement. Villagers and wandering traders are a great way to obtain items you'd otherwise have no chance of obtaining, or why not barter with the piglins in the nether to obtain rare leather.
You can still progress to the nether or the end as normal but it may be ever more harder to get there, or just play through the game how you see fit
I am so happy that I've finally managed to create the perfect data pack I've spent years longing for, and I'm excited to play it along with you guys!
chicken jockeys have a 0.25% chance of spawning with every zombie spawn, kill the zombie and you'll have youself a self sustaining food source ( You will need 2 chickens as chickens spawned with a rider dont lay eggs, but they are still breedable. make sure to name tag or put in a boat as they can despawn)
Villagers are a reliable way to obtaining a veriety of otherwise unobtainable loot. Cure a zombie villager and get to making your own village
Wood will be sparce to begin with, only being able to salvage some from the many wrecks or mineshafts. But if you want a renewable source of wood wandering traders have the chance of having sappling for sale. Get to saving those emeralds.

Here are a few tips that can really help you out:

Update v1.1.2 : by lbrandonl 01/11/2024 1:24:10 pmJan 11th
Fixed the bug where dripstone would spawn on the ocean floor and any islands found would most likely be in a dripstone biome, therefor no grass or trees would spawn, only dripstone.
