Ever wondered what it would be like if the Nether Reactor from old Pocket Edition versions was ever brought back into Minecraft today? Well this datapack aims to do just that! Bringing back the Nether Reactor Core and all the old features surrounding it, plus a bunch of new ones!

Overview:

This pack features:

- Nether Reactor Core (and its states)
- Nether Spire
- Hellighter
- A new step in the survival Minecraft progression
- Disables Nether Portals unless made or interacted with with a Hellighter
- The Primitive Ways Advancement (obtained for crafting a Nether Reactor Core)

Nether Reactor Core:

Crafting:
Just like in Pocket Edition, the crafting recipe for the Nether Reactor requires 6 Iron Ingots and 3 Diamonds

Functionality:
Upon placed in the correct Cobblestone and Gold Block structure pattern, the Nether Reactor becomes active, generating a Netherrack structure (known as a Nether Spire) and spawns various different Overworld and Nether items along side a bunch of Zombie Piglins (Unique texture with Optifine) that attack the player.
After the process, the reactor cools down, becoming incased in Obsidian, with the core becoming inactive.

States:
Normal - Just the regular Core, prior to activation

Active - If the reactor is broken while active, the Active Core becomes unstable and explodes within 5 seconds. The Active Core can be temporarely stabilised by placing a Redstone Block next to it which halts the timer. The explosion of an Active Core is able to destroy blocks even under water or lava.

Inactive - Holds 3 Forge Charges. A Forge Charge is used to turn a Flint and Steel into a new Hellighter, an enchanted Flint and Steel capable of opening Nether Portals. An inactive core can be recharged by rebuilding the core except with Obsidian instead of Cobblestone and interacted with holding a Diamond in the main hand.

Hellighter:

As mentioned prior, a Flint and Steel infused with a Forge Charge becomes a Hellighter, which allows the player to once again open Nether Portals.
To pass through a Nether Portal, a player is required to have a Hellighter in their inventory. This means that for a player to progress to the Nether, they are required to use a Nether Reactor.

This might be the best Reactor Core recreation, will it ever be updated to 1.20?
