What is in the Renewed update?
Completely redesigned world generation with some changes to biomes and noise settings to give a specific look to the world with larger cliffs and floating islands sometimes. it has revamped taiga biome variants with around 3 new trees added to it, usually using existing mega taiga trees but slightly less common than in the mega taiga biome. Removed the forest zombie village as sometimes it would cause the forests to have unwanted shattered places when it met with a hill/mountain And the Renewed version will continue to get updates. not as frequent but it will in the future.
This Data Pack aims to recreate the randomness of Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 while keeping the current Vanilla World Generation.
What does this data pack change/add?
DISCLAIMER: As of the 1.17 Alpha build of this Pack most trees are broken and need to be remade, The Taiga trees are the only ones working. right now i don't have the time to do them but eventually i will be releasing updates for it and for future world generation changes. REMEMBER TO RESET UNWANTED CHUNKS EVERYTIME YOU UPDATE TO A NEW BUILD
-New and improved world generation. Worlds look the same as vanilla, biomes layout is almost identical but it adds better mountain biomes , bigger and more defined hills and cliffs, better and more random hilly forest biomes.
-More variation of trees in biomes: Taiga variants ( same with snowy ) , birch forest and tall birch forest. There are around 5 or so new birch trees that add up the foliage of a birch biome, not only that but there are stunning hills and cliffs in that biome. Tall birch forest also got multiple more biomes specific trees.
-Taller Dark Oak trees to try to make the dark oak forest easier to traverse
-Better wider and deeper rivers
-Better beaches
-Better larger and slightly more common lakes. ( Adds a lot to the landscape)
-slightly more water streams to try to create nice landscaping at times.
My goal with this data pack is to keep the vanilla experience but making it more random and exciting. I was inspired to make this by the seed i played in for a few months, it felt like a different Minecraft than just endless flatness throughout most forest biomes, it reminded me of the random big cliffs i would see in beta 1.7, i was inspired to recreate something like the views that would be possible in those older Minecraft years but keep the vanilla world gen layout.
How to Use:
1: Download the Data Pack.
2: Start a new world and click on "Data Packs" and click on 'Open Pack Folder".
3: Get the File you just Downloaded and Open it, select one of 2 presets then drag it to the folder that minecraft opened. presets: one is the default for the new renewed version. and the other one is one that changes the position and scale of cliffs and mountains in certain areas.
4: ** OPTINAL** to get the full effect of this Data Pack make sure you play at 10-16+ chunks
I will try to update to 1.17 snapshots once they are closer to full release
Overworld generation might change with incoming updates! (slightly).

Though I have to ask, what are the seed(s) in the screenshots tab? they look perfect to build in
