Green skinned, blue clothed, always groaning in the middle of the night... Who is he? Yes, it's our good old friend zombie. They always wandering around at night with no certain point, waiting to eat our brains. Zombies is just a low level enemy, we didn't worried about the zombies so much. Just build a simple house or dig a ditch and stay there until morning, it's creeper and enderman that we should worried about.

But did you ever stopped for a minute and think about where does the zombies come from? They didn't just came out from a rock doesn't it? Well I have a theory about that, the whole game takes place long after a nuclear apocalypse. You were dropped from a cryo-stasis pod in orbit and are just now waking up.

You find that radiation and mutation has permanently brain-damaged the wildlife but caused them to reproduce rapidly. The radiation is why sheep lose their hair so easily. It's also caused Beef, Lambchops, and Chicken to be so radioactive that they're inedible. But somehow, it's caused Pork to have regenerative properties.

Radiation-reanimated Zombies and Skeletons roam the land (Planting the radioactive remains of a skeleton on a sapling causes it to mutate and rapidly grow!), along with Spiders that have grown to massive size and "Creepers", mutated creatures that are probably a mishmash of random DNA, like deathclaw in fallout but but less scary.

Your guy finds that his body, being affected by his time in space, is freakishly strong compared to the radiation-scarred world. You can smash trees apart, kill zombies with your bare hands, and smash through rock with even wooden tools. And a thousand years later, the radiation slowly gone. All the wildlife start to evolved to it's normal form and the environment or biome start to change to a normal condition. But after the radiation all the strange creature that you never seen before, began to appear and strangely your guys didn't aged a bit. Maybe because long before the nuclear apocalypse happen, you have been given an anti aging drugs and they sent you out to a space.
