Recently I have seen a lot of rudeness on PMC I wasn't going to complain but recently I received a rather rude PM
(that I did report) and now I feel it should be done..
Okay here's the start of it where did kindness go did it go out of fashion and I wasn't informed?
Recently I have seen a lot of rudeness on the forums and on peoples submissions and I'm going to state the rudeness without giving names or singling anyone out.
Rudeness about Grammar: this is prominent but not that bad (at least in my opinion) as it is important to fix one's flaws in writing as one will need to be good at writing for most occupations.
so instead of saying "Your grammar sucks" you should say "Your grammar needs improvement here let me help you" as it is constructive as you are trying to help them improve.
Rudeness about lackluster submissions:This is a really bad one as it really demotivates the newer members from trying to improve their submissions and if the newer members are really demotivated they will stop all together.
so instead of saying something like"Your crap sucks go *insert something rude here*" you should say "It's a good start but it really can do with a little more *insert possible improvement here* here's a tutorial on how to improve your*insert previous possible improvement*" as again it's constructive and not just rudeness
Rudeness about someone having a lower level:This is not very prominent but when it happens it's bad as just like rudeness about submissions it demotivates the newer members.
so instead of saying"Haha your a level *insert low number here* you suck" you should say"Keep trying if you do you shall achieve what you desire no matter what" as this actually motivates people to try harder.
Rudeness about someone having a higher level:This also happens it isn't a case of the lower level member lording over the higher level user but instead insisting the higher level user got to where they are through ill methods without proof it often doesn't affect the higher level user greatly but it still is something that hurts most peoples emotions.
This one is more difficult as if the higher level member takes the lower level member to task on in the lower level member that insulted them will pull up the lower level defense (being" your a higher level it makes you feel as if you can boss me around!").
Really if someone has proof the higher level member is doing something wrong they should report it but if they don't they shouldn't as it's just jealousy
so anyone who is a lower level than some don't say something like"You joined a month after me but your ten levels higher than me you must be doing something immoral" you should say something like"Congratulations you have earned every ounce of your success"
All in all this website is a great one but it is being faced with incredible rudeness we all should be careful so it doesn't become one of those constant flame war sites.
