What makes me a minecrafter?

As I’m listening to some Roxette Greatest Hits and thinking about how to answer this question, it makes me think about nearly 6 years ago. Back in 2011 still in school I first found Minecraft through YouTube, a channel creator called Robdogga55 playing Minecraft and this began my fun and adventures in Minecraft.

There was no End dimension, so surviving, exploring and enjoying the world and what it had was the open goal of Minecraft back then.

It has been nearly 6 years since I first got my account, it’s been through many snapshots, updates and even an account migration and boy was that not a fun time to deal with an account not working for a short period of time. Over the time I’ve been inspired by the flexibility of Minecraft to create maps for minigames, partaken in competitions on the Planet Minecraft website.

Even now I still have my own burnouts from Minecraft, but everyone will have those moments of feeling bored or burnt out over Minecraft. It’s just like any other game in retrospective. That being said, I couldn’t ever completely quit playing Minecraft. I used to host a server, and staff numerous servers as either a moderator, admin, a regular player or temporarily sitting as an owner.

What makes me a minecrafter? What defines a minecrafter?

By no means I am not as good as the Hypixel build team, or as good in redstone as Docm77 but that doesn’t phase me at all. I know basic redstone and when the inspiration comes to me I make the effort into adding beautiful detail into my builds.

I get enjoyment out of Minecraft, and always have. Burnout periods never last and I still come onto a server and enjoy playing some survival. What makes me a minecrafter?

What’s made me stick around for nearly 6 years?

It’s the unlimited amount of options you can do with minecraft that keep me coming back, you can be a redstone expert, a specialist at surviving, be a professional builder or even a map builder!

The only limitations of Minecraft is your IMAGINATION!
