Ok so if your here you probably want a server.
Maybe you already had an idea for a server but saw another blog or post on the forum's saying that these Servers are no longer good servers.

Factions PVP
Hub Server
Mini Games Servers
Mindcrack Server

I have owned 2 Servers 1 successful 1 not so much.
The one that failed me was Factions PvP
The one that succeeded me had fun plugins.

Now how do you get fun plugins?
Look around!
Here I found and have used before.

Also Custom plugins are great but you need someone to make it and it needs to be well thought out

It lets you pick a race and each race has its advantage.

Ok well now you know some good plugins to have, That can also be your server type!
So if you use Bending your server isn't Factions PvP anymore its Avatar Themed!
If you use Vampire Plugin Your server isn't Survival its VAmpire Survival!
Thats a great way to make your factions pvp Server better then the others.

IF you completely hate your server and need a new original idea then do One of these

Modded Server - Kind of hard due to everyone has to have the mod.
RP Server- These are very Fun but need to be well planned and organized. ( I am making 1 RIght now)
Prison Server- Very Fun (Not everyone likes them though)

Those are the three Not overused Server types.
If you need a Server I recommend using one of these 3

After you get an idea, You will still need a good Name and Spawn To attract more people
